  1. they're both look good, and it's not an easy noe but overall I think simple and clean if often better so my vote goes for the second one, cheers,
  2. thanks for the reply, can't think of anyway around it, apart from revolving the monitor for vertical games - but at this stage was trying to keep the cab simple. It would be a great option if you did decide to incorporate it in the future, maybe I can drum up some support from other widescreen guys - hopefully they'll pick up the topic on their seaches, i'll wait and see! cheers anyway,
  3. Hi, I'm new to this forum and building my arcade cabinet as we speak. I am using GameEx as my frontend and as space is an issue have decided to go the route of an LCD widescreen monitor rather than the more traditional CRT. All's going well, however I want to allow mame to expand the screen to take up the entire widescreen on horizontal games, but on vertical games keep the original (3:4) aspect - or maybe 4:4. I can use "-nokeepaspect" under the mame command options which will do exactly what I need on horizontal games, however it does the same for vertical games, and fills the entire screen which obviously I don't want to do - 1941 doesn't work on 16:9! MaLa has conditonal command options i.e. -nokeepaspect if horizontal etc - see attached jpeg - but I cannot find similar options in GameEx? Any ideas? Thanks for your help,
