hello. once again i turn for help from the great people of the Gameex Forums! i have a mame machine running XP. Nividia 6600 256mb. the monitor is a Happ Vision Pro 27" vga CRT (brand new) i have gameex start up automatically launhed from windowzzz. (here is what happens) computer starts up and the black windows loading screen shows up. then the monitor goes out of range (i am assuming that is because the desktop appears for a second) until Gameex starts up automatically. the resolution looks fine, and gameex functions perfectly. but when i start a mame rom, the monitor then says "out of range" again. anyone have any ideas? here is what i tried already: 800x600 70 hertz 800x600 60 hertz 800x600 56 hertz 640x480 60 hertz PLEASE HELP!!! thanks again paul L

hello. i love gameex first of all. since i have a perfect running version 9.2x? of gameex and got it all configured the way i want it, i am afraid i will break stuff if i update it. so how do i update? i do really want that new theme i saw running... which brings me to my next question... how can i have - or which theme is it? - that shows a screen shot of the game when i rollover the title in the "all mame games" list? i have all the artwork and cabinet artwork and stuff, and it is mapped correctly in the gameex setup config program. am i missing something? or do some themes not show that? i really want this theme shown here: because it looks like the screen shots work? or did it do this in previous releases. thanks... paul L

hello the problem i am having is that in games like tron or tempest where there was a spinner used. i have a trackball hooked up to my mouse. the trackball moves the mouse in gameex fine. but when i launch tron, i cant move the guys arm around with the trackball. now i think it might have something to do with the mame controls? i am trying to set "Input (This game)" in my mame (command line version 0.125) i want the "dial dec" and "dial inc" to use mouse x. how do i assign MOUSE X? i cant figure out what keys on the keyboard do this. and since you are in the input mode, i dont think the mouse (trackball) works. or do i hav to do something in game ex? thanks alot! paul L

hello. i am very frustrated. i have multiple versions command line mame and mame32. all of them are linked to my roms folder (my roms are older - from 2001 era) - and when i run mame32 by itself, it sees all 4000+ available working roms (give or take a few). but when i link to gameex - it sees like 80 games only! there is one case where gameex saw 2000 of the 4000 i have, but still not working like it should! of course my game ex config mame links are all correct and i run the game updater, and still nothing. why is this happening? please help - i want to purchase gameex but i am afraid it wont help... thanks! paul - ps - do the roms NEED to be inside of the mame folder? i dont think so as long as the mame and gameex links are all correct
