  1. Thanks, you in a round about way pointed me to the solution. The background mode setting!! all sorted now thank you
  2. Hello I used to have the video snap running in a small window on the MAME section but since I upgraded and reinstalled, they always run full screen. I personally don't like it and want to have it in a side window again. I have tried different themes but it is always the same. Any idea what I need to do please? Cheers Mark
  3. well again I am an utter fool... basically I took a punt and they aren't static... as I found once I decided to try the codec all is good. Love this software thank you
  4. I didn't expect any issues as I have done this previously with other software. Everything is great except 50% of snaps. I guess it is only a link to the actual png file?
  5. Hello I rebuilt MameUI and GameEx on my laptop to them port over to my arcade machine running windows 7, Everything on the laptop is perfect now, Snaps showing, titles etc etc. So wiped the arcade machine, reinstalled GameEx, copied over GameEx and MameUI with all the config files. For the 1st few minutes everything also looked perfect on arcade machine, but then I noticed some games don't display the snap pictures. I checked they are all there and I can view them in Mame. Do I need to run update mame games again in gameex please? Or why would this happen when they are identical? Cheers Mark
  6. Hi Tom, yeah it is a pop up from Mame when updating the mame list in gameex. Running 0.188 and i might have had some corrupt files, as i downloaded the extras again and it appears to be fine.. thank you
  7. Hello I recently bought an arcade machine that runs mame/gameex etc but surprisingly the versions of MAME and GameEx were years out of date. SO updated to the latested and newest rom packs etc, 0.188. When I try to update the mame game list is GameEx I get the following error, which i can ok and the update continues. It happens on my laptop as well and I just cannot fathom out why it is happening? Any idea please? Cheers Mark
