  1. I've been reading some threads that talk about some great new GameEx features, primarily the high score board. I haven't upgraded my GameEx since I first purchased is about a year ago--I'm hesitant to upgrade as I do not want to mess up any settings at the moment. I haven't been able to find a thread that explains the most efficient/painless way to upgrade; though I'm sure one exists. Does anybody have a link to such a thread, or advice on how to complete such an upgrade? Thanks in advance!
  2. Forty0ztoFreedom--As a newbie around here I can't help out much more than the threads I've created...but the great software aside this is absolutely the best reason to use GameEx. Not only can GameEx do virtually anything you want it to, great help is ALWAYS a post away. Every time I post here I get a response within 10-20 minutes, usually faster. If you decide to switch you'll definitely have full in-depth support, pull the trigger!
  3. Is there a link to find more information on the x-arcade exit combo buttons?
  4. That worked beautifully! I don't know what I could have done to change that, but nonetheless my trackball is back to beautiful action! I've been waiting to buy a new illuminated trackball..I think I just may do it right now in celebration!
  5. Where is that at and what would I be looking for? I haven't made any changes to anything that would be related to trackball or mouse in MAME, so I'm completely thrown off with this. The trackball works fine until in a MAME game, then I can't use a trackball and the mouse doesn't register either.
  6. Any ideas? The trackball works fine as the mouse in GameEx and on the desktop, but when I start any game now it stops using the trackball. I checked MAME controls and everything appears to be fine and I didn't change anything, but it's not working in any game..?
  7. That looks amazing! I am working towards making mine look a little more DK authentic, any tips on making a game-oriented theme? I started fooling around with the editor and think I can do some minor image work if I can find some high-resolution images. Good work!
  8. I don't think it's GameEx that is doing it, but figured somebody would know. When I run games like Street Fighter Ex 2 Plus or NFL Blitz (games that have 3D graphics) it starts running in super slow motion. The computer that I have running my games is definitely fast enough to handle these games, what setting may I need to adjust to be able to play these games?
  9. Well that's all for now, but tomorrow I'm thinking about hooking up the pinball so I can't promise I'll be able to figure it out! lol
  10. That's correct, I have left both of those out....I verified the files several times and it should be good to go.
  11. Yeah, I even tried completely rebooting the computer...it is really weird. It has the original games, I may just save the configuration, delete it...then try creating a new if I need to
  12. Well, everything is working great but as I start unzipping new roms into the folder and they're not showing on GameEx....they load fine and are the same file types, is there a way to refresh the game list?
  13. I took the easy way out, Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2. I'm going to program it so it has the same buttons as the control panel, that way I don't have to do anything as I switch back and forth.
  14. You sir, are a godsend. In the last couple of days your help has helped transform my arcade to a new level--I can't thank you enough!!!!
  15. The Unzipped Typo I missed when typing it on the laptop to post, so that's okay. The Mapping was put in there automatically, I took that out--but the result is the same....loads the emulator, but can not bring up the game.
  16. Okay I've focused on this one for a day now, hoping I could learn to crack it myself; but nothing appears to work for me. This is for Playstation using ePSXe. It loads the emulator, but when it is time to load the ROM it just keeps loading and does not go to the game. Here's the log: [Emulator_9] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Sony PlayStation TITLETEXT=Sony PlayStation StartPageLogo=psx ROMFilter=*.img;*.bin RomPath=G:\PSX Unzipeed\Games SnapPath= TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath= InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=G:\PSX Unzipped\ePSXe MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile=[Console] Sony Playstation.map AlsoLaunch= Command=ePSXe.exe -nogui "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" OLDatZip= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= ConfigFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Console] Sony PlayStation GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=False CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= [GENERAL] DumbyValue=
  17. Well I've tried my personal preferences, but I'd like to see if anybody has a setup they've used over time and enjoyed. Anybody?
  18. Not a great picture from the iPhone, but I figured I'd throw up a picture! :-)
  19. Thanks to the help of the GameEx forum I finally have consoles on my Arcade! I'm trying to set everything up now and played a SNES game to horrible success, I just can't seam to find the best button configuration. Does anybody know where I can find an image that may show the 'best' button configurations for different systems? Mainly, I am having difficulty arranging: SNES, N64, Dreamcast, PSX. Here is how my P1 and P2 buttons are arranged 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Any resources or opinions are appreciated!
  20. That did it! Setting up consoles is going a lot faster now, seems like a lot are having the same troubles; thanks again.
  21. Okay, so now I'm trying to set up another console and I've encountered a new problem. In SNES I got a game to load and I could hear audio, but there was no video. Here is the log: [Emulator_2] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Nintendo SNES TITLETEXT=Nintendo SNES StartPageLogo=SNES ROMFilter= RomPath=F:\ROMCOLLECTOR\Nintendo SNES SnapPath=F:\ROMCOLLECTOR\Nintendo SNES\SNESART\Complete NTSC-US Super Nintendo Roms - Videos - Manuals collection\NTSC-US Super Nintendo Videos - Snaps TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath=C:\Emulation\Assets\Console\Nintendo SNES\Controls\ InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=F:\ROMCOLLECTOR\Nintendo SNES\Emulator MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Captials=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=zsnesw.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" OLDatzip= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelctionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Console] Nintendo SNES GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=False CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= [GENERAL] DumbyValue=
  22. You guys are awesome! Everything works great now, and I've thrown up a couple of extra emulators now....amazing how that one line opens SO many doors for my cab! Now I'm just being greedy.......When I want to back out of a MAME game I programmed a button on my joysticks to back me out, for NES/Sega/et cetera I have to lift the lid and hit escape; works fine but I figure since my wish list of improvements is coming true why not ask if there is a way to do this on emulated games!
  23. That did it!! Thank you so much! So now that this is working, any idea of how to bring back the Nintendo Console picture? not a huge deal as I have functionality at this point, but just wondering if there is a quick fix with what you see in the log. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  24. I looked in the VirtuaNES folder, but the emulator file is NES.exe; should I leave that as is?
