Ok, so I tested the attract mode after turning off every emulator other than mame and it still never starts. Only a black screen loads. I checked the log and everything seems fine it ends with "starting attract mode" and then just freezes so it shows no error message. *edit* So I saw someone said they had to disable xvid before it would run....That seems to at least get the screensaver running. I'll test it but I think I am ok now. Thanks

Hi, I was just wondering if Attract mode/screensaver is really the mame screensaver integrated with GameEx. For some reason Attract mode won't start when I click start in GameEx (it just hangs and needs to be force quit) and it won't run as a regular screen saver after x minutes. I have the mame screensaver but if I use that as my windows screensaver and GameEx is open a black screen pops up and then just crashes back to GameEx. Thanks again

That works except certain games bring up a "TAF Settings Menu" how can I disable that?

Ok, so it turns out that was the config I was using so here is the config I have now....My problem before was a simple " " space error...Now it doesn't just go to black it actually loads the pinball file but not the table. I hear sounds and can push buttons but only the score screen shows up. Speaking of the score screen is there a way to set it to lock in a certain place not in the way of the table? Ok....so whenever I try to load up a Visual Pinball table all that happens is the screen goes black and nothing seems to load except for the pinball score screen. Tables do run fine from the launcher and if I try to the run last script they manage to run (with the error). Also, it usually shows the desktop even though show desktop is off. Hi, roms and bios are all in the same folder and the log looks like everything is fine. So I found another rom that doesn't load and I noticed a difference in the log between the ones that do run and the ones that don't. The two roms that don't run have "-artwork -artwork_directory artworkgameex" where the roms that do load leave that part off. I'm not sure why it is doing this but I feel like this probably has something to do with the problem. The roms do run just fine with Mamewah and regular Mame

Do you mean the log file or the ini the ini is extremely long. When I say don't run I mean won't start but they do show up on the list. Thanks for the quick reply

Hi, just about every single mame game runs just fine with Gameex except for any version or Arkanoid and a few other Taito Romstar games. Is there any reason this would be happening? I have tried running arkanoid on both mamewah and mame and it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
