  1. Hmm, uninstalled and rebooted and still get the same problem. Works when offline. Any ideers?
  2. Hey, just wanted to chime in that I experienced it today as well - actually between running it, setting up some new tables in Game Manager, and restarting it. Which made me think I did something wrong (besides adding tables I increased the attract mode times to 2 minutes in Setings). The author mentioned in that referenced post that it was a 'bug' in the installer and was going to be updated. Is that still the case? I tried to do an over the top install but no dice. Since I did have the latest version installed a few weeks ago, installing that same version didn't seem to do the trick. Guess I have to uninstall. I understand that the software is free and I'm totally appreciative of the effort (enough to at least sign up for a basic membership for a year), but it is a wee bit o'hassle, at least from the standpoint of being automated for the kiddos to just turn on and go play some pinball. I caught it this time and it is no big deal - just wondering how often this might occur. Not that I'm complaining! Unfortunately I keep my cab online since Steam doesn't want to play nice and always shows a prompt to start a game in offline mode even though I ask it nicely not to (e.g. starting it and going offline and restarting, no internet).
  3. Thanks for responding. I like the VP tables a lot as well. Just wanted to get TPA working since I bought a few seasons. There was an application and AHK script by ginsonic from January of 2016 that looks promising, i'll give that a whirl before dusting off the appdev skills to roll my own.
  4. I know I'm posting to an old thread, but wanted to say thanks for the videos - and to ask a question: have you posted the camera files that you used while taking these videos? I like how they look - especially how they aren't quite as completely top-down as some of the other ones I have found and been missing with. For example, you can see the cowboys face instead of just the top of his hat on the playfield. For the life of me, I can't seem to find the right combinations of camera settings to get this working. Perhaps because I'm trying to modify the top view and not a hybrid one - but I like the top view because I just want to see the playfield and with the hybrid ones I can never seem to get rid of the seeing the backglass or cutting out too much of the sides of the bottom of the table.. Seems like I should be able to take a topview and rotate around the x-axis but I can't seem to get that to work. So any chance you have posted your camera files somewhere? Thanks.
  5. I think the grid positions are right, at least they follow the same format as the other ones in the other alphabetical groups that work. So that is a no go on this even working for anyone? It's not just me?
  6. Is anyone else having problems with PBX launching Pinball Arcade tables that are listed in the R-Z alphabetical section? Every table before the letter R works fine, but when PBX scrolls down it gets to the first row of the R-Z section and then it seems like TPA scrolls back up so that the focus is on the previous section. Based on how many rows down PBX has to go in the R-Z section it will bounce around for a while before then moving across to select a table.
  7. Well, PinballX launching Steam doesn't seem to give enough time to have Steam completely up and running, about 10 seconds on my machine. So I created a task to launch PinballX 30 seconds after I logon and that seems to give it time. Still, very annoying that Steam does this.
  8. It seems with the latest Steam client update a few days ago, Steam is stealing focus from PinballX at startup. I have Steam set to launch at Windows startup silently as well as PinballX. PinballX starts fine but after about 5-10 seconds focus goes back to the Windows desktop. Not having Steam start at Windows startup solves the problem. It was working prior to the update. Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts to work-arounds? I was thinking about PinballX launching Steam itself or perhaps have some sort delayed task to launch PinballX after I'm sure Steam is all done loading.
  9. Hi ktmpin, I had the same problem until I downloaded the LAV filters from the main pinballx.com page: http://www.pinballx.com/ffdshow.exe After downloading and restarting it worked for me. My issues weren't for the PBFX2 tables it was for some Pinball Arcade ones but maybe it is a similar issue. I have only a few PBFX2 tables and only two of those (SW:TFA and SW:MOF) have actual backglass videos and those worked for me right away.
  10. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately no internet is connection available for the cabinet, wired or wireless - at least I don't want it to be. Steam is okay with this except for the fact that I want to some how automatically bypass the 'Steam is offline' prompt. Or at the very least have some process automatically select the 'OK/Continue' button without me having to use a mouse to hit the button manually. Or to not see it at all by telling Steam not to do that - unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a -silent or -offline command line parameter.
  11. Santa just delivered a new cabinet for Christmas and PinballX is working great with showing tables from Pinball FX2 and launching them. The only problem is that I run my cabinet not connected to the internet - I know, I know, 2016 and all that but basically the only reason why I don't is that my cabinet doesn't have a built-in wifi and the dongle wifi I use sticks out of the front of the cab and the kiddos keep knocking it around when they play. And I guess I like not seeing it out there to give that more 'authentic' look. It seems there there have been other people asking for this but I haven't found a definitive answer on how to do this either here or other places. Several recommended using AHK to write a script to close the window either when launching tables or as part of Windows startup but that doesn't work as just closing the window doesn't correspond with 'start in offline mode'. And yes, I did connect to Steam and chose to go in offline mode and restarted. But the notification dialog still comes up the first time you launch a table. Is AHK still the answer and instead of closing the window you click the appropriate button? Is there a steam.exe parameter to launch silently or without the offline prompt? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
