can someone explain to me how I can make my own skin for gameex?

Tom, that doesn't seem to work. I tried pressing and holding, and it just jumps to all the menu options in the interface. I also tried pressing it once, and it didn't work either. Suggestions?

Yeah, that was weird. I posted, saw the post there, came back an hour or two later, and they're gone. Then, came back a couple hours later, and they're there. I even refreshed the screen, then logged in/out to double check. But, they're all there now. Weird... Thanks!

headkaze- what do you mean 'there are keys' what are they, how do I do that? Can I just program GameEx to do it when I hit right on the joystick? Tom, I'll give that a shot. Thanks

so how would I go in and edit the existing skin, or, create my own? Im not finding any info here on the site for that... Thanks

Hey guys- When I boot up GameEx, it does a quick little animation of the Nintendo 64 logo- it comes in, and then goes back out. Is there a way to disable/get rid of this? Why is it there in the first place? Thanks

Not sure if this is requested or not, but- When a game is doing a preview in screen saver mode- it'd be cool if you could just hit the coinup buttons to automatically start playing that game. Sometimes, a game is on preview, but I don't know which one- so I miss it. Possible?

Hey guys Where do I put the audio files in order for them to play in GameEx interface? I'm tired of hearing the 'Like Humans Do' song... Also- same question with Videos. I've got them both loaded in separate directories in C:\Mame32 But, I just don't get where/how to designate that in the config setup. Can someone give me a roadmap here? Thanks

Hey guys- this GameEx ROCKS! Tom, excellent job- MUCH better than that MameWah crapola. I am running the Default Pruple theme right now- but it is slow scrolling through the names of the games in the lists. Is there a way to speed that up? In Mamewah and Mame, you can move the joystick to the right and it scrolls 25 games. Is there a way to speed up the scrolling via any method? Right now, it takes FOREVER to get towards the end of the list. Thanks

Hey guys- Just got this working- MUCH easier to setup than MameWah! GREAT!!! Questions tho- 1) How do I show screen shots of each game in the main screen? 2) is it possible to show video clips instead of static images? I know I need to download them, I just don't know where that setting is in GameEx. 3) How do I delete games out of the game list? Or, maybe 'HIDING' them is a better way? 4) There seems to be some lag times between selecting a game and starting to run it, as well as when I finish a game and escape back to the main GameEx screen- seems to be quite a bit of lag in between. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

nevermind guys- it seems to only work on the GameEx-Default display for some reason. Seems to all be working just fine now. Weird...

oh sorry- I'm running XP w/ Analog+ since I have dual TBs and dual spinners... maybe that helps? Thanks '

Hey guys- I just downloaded GameEx, but I can't get the controls to work. When in the initial interface, the trackball and button1 works for choosing options. But once the game starts, I don't have anything. The keyboard won't even work at that point- except the escape key. I'm sure it's something simple- any suggestions? I went in to the options and chose one that said something like Enable Keyboard control input or something- but still no go. Helllp!!! Thanks
