Have a couple issues and I didn't want to clutter the board with different posts. 1st question: the video preview in GameEx is abnormally stretched vertically. How do I get it to display normally? 2nd question: when I first started messing around with GameEx, before a game was started it would display how many buttons the game used and what they did. I don't know what I did but now it's gone and I can't find how to turn the feature on. Any idea how to turn the option on? Any help greatly appreciated!

I'm new to GameEX and I swear, I just spent DAYS on this problem. All I wanted was MAME and Emulated games and I couldn't get rid of multimedia for the life of me. Because of the radio! Comes to find out I was using "Setup Wizard" when I should have been using "Advanced Configuration". I was in such a hurry to get my cab up and running again with a new frontend that I didn't even notice the Advanced Configuration and went up and down Setup Wizard about 100 times! Try this: Advanced Configuration -> MultiMedia/HTPC -> Radio Enabled -> NO! I still think it's a bit misleading. Why not just have one configuration app?

I rigged my cab to accept coins. I just connected the 2 wires (on each coin slot switch) to the "hidden buttons" that I set up for coins. I also connected the lights to the wires on the computer fan so it lights up as well. Now not only do they work as secondary coin buttons, but they light up and look cool. This adds a great touch! Usually, depending on the game your playing, you'll hear a unique "coin accepted" sound as well as a credit. You'll also hear that great coin drop sound that we all love. I think that would be your best bet... good luck!

Thanks guys for your responses. What I wanted to do was have only a few options like say Mame, nes, snes, etc... No multimedia, or the such just emulators. For some reason I can't get rid of the multimedia option. I really like game launcher mode but is it possible to get the video clips to play in a side screen instead of the full background? It gets kind of distracting. Also does the game launcher mode support switching between different emulators or does it just support mame? Thanks! Ohh and I LOVE the way the gameEx launches the game vids immediately. In MA there is like a 5 second pause before the preview begins for each game. VERY annoying!

Hello all!!! I am new here. I am currently a Maximus user but thinking of converting. I like their (Maximus Arcade's) super simple interface and Love GameEx's flexability. Is it possible to get GamEx looking and acting like Maximus? I tried setting it up but still got all the unnecessary/unneeded options that take away from a simple interface. Any examples or tips? THANKS!!!
