That seems to work, although i find that kinda odd.

Haven't tried, although for the purposes of testing I will.

So, I'm having a somewhat similar problem. Had to reinstall my mamecab and put GameEx 10.7 on there with MAME 131u2, and everytime i start GameEx I have no roms in my list. I go to update list, takes not very long, but it is not processing mameinfo.dat, history.dat or catver.ini when i do update list. Also, every time I go back to the list it asks me if I want to update. When I quit GameEx and come back I have no list again. Also, it is showing me the Mahjong games, which i specifically said not to do. I have updated the list at least 10 times. Thanks, doyou know if this is going to be fixed in GameEx anytime soon so I don't have to modify the MAME source in the future?

With version 9.08 (and below as I've noticed) the OK screen is not being bypassed when a game is started. The same problem happens when you let GameEx idle and the it uses the screensaver. I have found on the mamescreensaver forum that this issue was resolved for that, so i'm not sure if GameEx has it integrated or not, but iether way I stil have the issue.
