  1. Turns out my attempt to hide the title-screen artwork created something that looked like a dead pixel in the middle of the video/snap. Thankfully, you probably don't have a dead pixel on your screen. Instead its the title-screen artwork compressed down to 1x1 pixel, being overlayed on top of the video. I fixed it by moving the same artwork below the dock area. If anyone wants the fix, see the attachment for an updated theme file. Just replace the attached Theme.cfg with the old one in your Themes/Aeon Inspirat directory Theme.ini
  2. Wow these look great, keep it up KRC =)
  3. Thanks so much Tom. Works like a charm =)
  4. Hey Tom, I can't seem to get this to work. It seems to behave the same way as it did in 13.05. Main list displays everything, rom specific lists are empty for titles that should be filtered. I apologize in advance if its just a mis-setting on my end. I attached the exported emu settings incase it is. Nintendo Famicom.ini
  5. Sure thing http://www.mediafire.com/?dvz2kj8ykcvddao It's a hefty PS file, let me know if you have any issues opening it.
  6. Thanks for fixing the issue I posted Tom, that was really fast. =)
  7. Thanks guys! Created an extra pack containing background and logos for Sega Mega CD and Sega Saturn (Japanese Version). Here's previews of the background, keep in mind the borders for the selector and video are missing. Download Link: Pack 1.zip Just extract the file in your Aeon Inspirat folder. You'll have to assign custom logos and backgrounds under advanced emulator options. As time goes on I'll continue to release update packs for anything I find missing. Feel free to post requests too.
  8. Thanks, really appreciate you looking into this =)
  9. Created a North American based Nintendo DS map file which removes the No-Intro scene number and duplicates (Revisions, demos, bad dumps etc). Main reason it was created was to remove the pesky numbers that No-Intro uses without rebuilding the set. Not terribly hard to create but I couldn't find one posted. Hopefully someone else finds a use for it =) Handheld Nintendo DS - USA.zip
  10. I have one feature request and another potential bug/feature. 1) Adding wildcard support to excluded rom list. This would allow to filter something like "[bIOS]*" to hide all bios files. 2) Something odd seems to be going on with "Use 7z" and Rom Filter wildcards. Filtering "*(*USA*)*" properly filters at a rom level but not at a system level. For more information see this post: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/12571-filter-questions/#entry101284 See post 7 for a detailed description of the issue. Thanks!
  11. Hurray! It isn't my setup! I'll post a feature request regarding the issue. I'm tepid to PM him since I know he's probably busy with more pressing GameEx issues. Not to mention no one else has brought this up in the 5+ years that GameEx has been around, so its likely only relevant to my oddball setup.
  12. Thanks nullPointer, appreciate you getting back to me. I setup a temporary NES emulator using the exact settings you provided. I think I realize why I thought it wasn't working. It filters through everything properly at a game level but not at a system level. Hopefully this isn't something just on my end again. Here's some screens to better explain. At a game level I only see the USA versions of Super Mario 3 - works as intended. At the system level I still see plenty of European/Japanese games. (Super Mario + Tetris, Super Mario USA, Super Mogura, Super Momotaru, Super Pang, etc) *EDIT* Whoops, forgot to post this. Here it is with 7z disabled. You can see the European/Japanese titles mentioned above are filtered from the list. Perhaps what I'm seeking to do with filters isn't possible? I guess I could always just create a run before script to do the same thing as the 7z feature. It's a little dirtier but it should work.
  13. It works? That's really strange... I've continued to tinker with it and still have the same issues. Is there any chance you could please do me a huge favor? If possible could you export the emulator config in which you have filtering and 7z/rar/zip support enabled so I see the exact settings? It'd be really helpful in figuring out what's going on with my settings. As for excluding BIOS files, yeah I'll just go through and delete them since there doesn't appear to be a way to include wildcards in the exclusion rules.
  14. Sure, sorry here's my GameEx.ini. I thought it wasn't relevant since its just a filtering question. I'm using a mix of No-Intro, Redump and TOSEC. The reason I'd like to keep them all in the same folder is because it makes it easier to update and manage sets. I really like the idea of updating No-Intro and having GameEx automatically filter through everything without the use of map files or moving directories. Like I said, the system works well. The issue I'm having is with [bIOS] files, which I can manually exclude if need be... and with 7z support. GameEx.ini
  15. I'm having some issues trying to get filtering to work properly. Hoping someone on the forums would be kind enough to help out =) 1) Is it possible to filter files with the name "[bIOS]". I've tried using the 'exclude file' section along with wild cards but it doesn't seem to be working. 2) I currently use "*(USA*;*USA)*;*(World*;*World)*" in the Rom Filter section to remove European and Japanese game releases. It works really well until I turn on the 'Zip/7-zip/goodmerge/rar" feature, and then it stops working. Is there any way to get these two features working on sync with eachother? It'd be especially useful for the disc based systems where the feature is required. Thanks!
  16. Messed around with the theme and everything seems to be working fine.. So, theme is now available on the main site http://www.gameex.com/Download/Themes.aspx
  17. I will, I just want to mess around with it for another week or two to make sure everything is working properly. The mediafire and dropbox links are just a temporary thing.
  18. Download Link See first post for new download link Also, please report back with feedback and issues. I'd like to try and iron out any problems before seeing if I can get Tom to upload it to the main theme repository. I may try and add a few more systems, but that all depends on the availability of logos. Heeeeeey buddy ol' pal. There's a high probability I may have just PMed you. =)
  19. Theme is done, it's a 125MB file so it'll take awhile to upload. I'll have a DL link tomorrow. I still never figured out the naming scheme so some of the media files aren't displaying correctly. For example, Neo-Geo CD picks up the Neo-Geo logo - Neo Geo Pocket Color picks up Neo Geo Pocket.. I have no idea how to fix this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks! I can, although saving each file takes a very long time to do... I'd gladly send you the photoshop file if you like, its pretty easy to figure out. That reminds me, I need to see if I can bug someone to get my username changed. I signed up for this account in 2007 and haven't gone by saterium for a very, very long time... heh
  20. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand done.... Holy crap its damn near impossible to find a nice clear shot of some of those systems. Some of the rarer systems look a little choppy and blurry (Actionmax, Nuon, etc) but it was the best I could do given what's out there. Last thing that's left is the system images for all the main menu stuff and the mame submenus. I'll be doing that tomorrow.
  21. Changed the Neo Geo MVS theme.. Created system images for Arcade, Pinball, Nintendo, SNK Little over halfway done with System Images... Commodore, Misc Portable, Misc Console and 'Software Based' and Main Menu stuff left. Getting close to wrapping this up.. heh *EDIT* Also finished Misc Portable
  22. Yeah I just noticed that too... I guess dropbox doesn't allow linking subfolders of public links, boo-urns. Work around - click the updated link in the post and hit the System Images subfolder at the top to see them.
  23. Started creating individual system images. Previews are available on the Dropbox under the system images subfolder at the top ( https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0d7d9yd1twuehjj/syqaVvylaJ ) Finished Atari, Sega, NEC and Sony... More to come. *EDIT* New System... (missed this one since its the emulator is early/non existent.. whoops) Misc Console - Microsoft Xbox
  24. Added... Arcade - WinKawaks, Final Burn Alpha Atari - Atari XE Commodore - Commodore MAX, Commodore 16 Pinball + Other - PinMAME Once again, special thanks to KRC for letting me use his cleaned up logos. Without them most of the above systems wouldn't have been possible to add =) Current console list stands at 130. I think I've covered most of the bases here. Once the theme is released I'll see if there are any requests. Main Menu (Not on Dropbox) - Search, ThemePicker, MostPlayed, Favorited, DVD, eBook, Karaoke, Library, Media, Multimedia, News, Pictures, Pinball, Radio, Video, Youtube Some of these might be redundant. I don't really use the MediaCenter features on GameEx so I figured it just went ahead and made them all. Most of them are just a different title with the same background. Youtube has a unique background. Top Media Bar - + other small items like loading screen, progress bar, etc etc. Theme is pretty much complete...Over the weekend I'll be creating media wheels for each system. If all goes well, I'll release it by Sunday =)
  25. Thanks again KRC! Updated the first post with final thumbnails. Finished up sounds and nearly done with the popup top bar. I'm still having some trouble figuring out the naming scheme for certain systems here despite countless forum searches. Ideally I'd like everything to be as 'automatic' as possible without the use of custom backgrounds but I'm doing a lot of guess work at names here. For example.. The name of the NeoGeo subsection in mame appears to be "Theme_Background_SNK Neo-Geo". What's Model 2? Atari? CPS? I've been trying to use other themes as an indication but they seem to be all over the place. Any assistant at all in this matter is greatly appreciated. It's the final major hurdle before I can release this. *EDIT* Using the names in the Config/Emulators/Import-Export seems to yield the best results for general console names. Still trying to figure out the names of the MAME submenus though.
