  1. Actually I was looking for a feature like hitting "tab" in MAME to get to game options or configuration. I have DL running fine through gameex and Daphne loader. It's changing the game options I am after. Specifically the credits per play (right now it's 4 credits per 3 lives) increasing the number of lives per game and game difficulty. I had an original DL arcade machine with the pioneer LD player. There were dip switch setting to control options. Daphne and LD emulation is all new for me so forgive me if I am a bit lost.
  2. Maybe a simple answer but I can not find it. I have Gameex set up to run Dragons lair / Daphne with no issues. The one thing that escapes me is how to enter the service menu or change configuration in game options (difficulty, credits,# of lives). Is this a command line adjustment or is there a way to enter game options ??? Gameex is the best front end going. Thanks for making a great interface!

    Trackball setup

Well I got it working with checking the "use mouse" under the config tab inside mame32. What is throwing me a curve was / is my usb wireless mouse plugged in. My I-pac is ps2 and my opti-pac is usb. I have gameex in my start up folder when windows boots. Sometime it launches fine and the trackball works perfect. If I use the wireless usb mouse before launching a game sometimes the trackball does not work. Its about 50/50%. The trackball works 100% under windows (XPpro). I used the standard key mapping. Is there a "better" layout for mapping keys like "left mouse click" accept. Learning the layout is the most confusing part. I am guessing if I remove the wireless usb mouse my conflict will go away also.

    Trackball setup

Newbie here setting up my first MAME configuration. I have a standard control panel layout (2-joy sticks with 6 buttons each player) happ trackball and the standard player 1&2 with coin buttons. Everything is run through an I-pac and opti-pac and all switches are working. Trackball works on windows desktop. I am at a loss configuring gameex and the mame.ini file. When I launch gameex and try to launch a trackball game no trackball is visible on the control panel layout splash screen. Is there a command line switch to enter inside gameex or do I edit the .ini file in the mame folder or both? I am soooooo close to getting this up and running it's driving me nuts! I am sure it's a path or directory issue on my end. I am totally unsure about the directory structure with mame and the front end so if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
