  1. hi there cant seem to get my regfile for registering GAMEEX to work in vista 64 i have donated and been using the registered version on xp for a while now , I have recently upgrade to vista 64 , cant seem to get rid of the nag screen etc please help! thanks
  2. I must agree, knowing i would have to upgrade someday i went and got a copy of home premium and managed to get it up and going eventuly!!!. Its great to get as many blue screen crashes as my old windows ME days!!! driver support is poor at best for the moment, Thankfully im using a dual boot setup so my strangly stable windows xp pro install is whats alowing me to do the bulk of my work at the moment. Cant complain about how vista looks maybe its just me but i cant help feeling a bit of a anticlimax (sad i know) about th whole areo 3d interface. After hearing months of hipe about this fantastic new 3d desktop interface, i get vista up and running only to find that the only 3d part of the whole desktop is a little button on the start bar that alows you to view and task switch between your task windows, which is a cool feature but is hardly a brand new 3d desktop interface! all the rest can mostly be recreated with a vista transformation pack for xp and windowblinds. hopefully things should get better and over time vista should become stable but with 5 years in development you would expect something possibly a little more stable AMD 5200+ OC asus crosshair jantech storm psu 700 watt 1 gig ddr 800 corsair xms2 msi 8800gtx 3 x wd 500 gig hds
  3. I highly doubt that gameex will ever play or be able to suport your very old rom set, you will have to upgrade to a newer set of roms if you would like to use gameex great features, but i doubt you would want to do this as you dont like the features anyway so go and waste your anger somewhere useful and find your self a newer working romset! and wait for a morre suitble front end to moan about! and for the record no im not an idiot or douche you just dont oviously understand my great english humor! Dont let the hatters get you down, just let the funny little lepricorns play....
  4. Dito, Sorry if i came on on a bit strong, Probally too many beers after the BBQ and the English Heatwave thats making me sweat like a hog! Work hard and play even harder! much respect to the gameex team..
  5. How old was the PC you were trying to run mame, and then gameex on? the same age as your disk 10 years? maybe its time for a upgrade, I dont mind people complaining about things that are truly problems but it sounds like you have a anger management problem! Gameex does not play the mame games itself it uses an external aplications to do that ie Mame32 so maybe you should try using a diffent mame Emulator if you are having problems on you 486DX2 LMAO!!!!!? as for your coments on the xbox 360 extender , if you would like a mame emulator for yur xbox360 maybe you should look into the hombrew communitie for that console, Thankfuly gameex is a program for PCs not CONSOLES so maybe you should think a little about that fact before you come on toms much loved message boards! Keep up the good work TOM!
  6. So where are these emulator backgrounds for download, i still cannot find where to download them thanks guys more like these would be great! (are some made in 1280x1024 possible) (ALSO IS IT POSSIBLE TO DISPLAY CART AND BOX ART ALSO WHEN A GAME IS SELECTED IN THE EMUALTOR MENU LIKE IN MAMEWAH?)
  7. PLease Please PLease can someone make a theme with seportite emualtor pages (covering all the main consoles) or convert some old mamewah ones for use with gameex as its my only problem i having (im no graphical designer photoshop just fustrates me!) it would be cool for example to have a mega drive emulator page with the console picture and title and so on for the NES,GG,MS,SNES,MD,SEGACD,PSX,DREAMCAST,Atari etc.. i know the art works out there i have it , i just dont have a clue on how to desgin a distant looking theme and emulator page with them! i am more than willing to donate another £20 (none of theme floppy dollors!) to TSpeirs gameex cause (or what we call in england a good drink (well a cupple of nice frosty pints for TOM!) if this can be acheved (so if your not tom and can build nice artowrk and themes you would be contubuting to the gameex cause greatly, Beer im sur eis a very important factor in the creatio of gameex! ) Hay just out of intrest how about making a theme around the windows xp bliss theme (Planet vairiant if possible)
  8. How Gameex changed my life! 5 reasons that gameex has made my life better 1. I now most importantly have a great arcade machine thatâ??s simple and fun to use 2. My mates all have something to do when they come around (other than dance badly, moan about how bad there lives are and spill beer on my carpets! 3. I finally have some excuse for why I canâ??t watch Eastenders (UK soap) with my other half (â??sorry dear I must finish my configuring my arcade machine, ill spend time with you later!â??) 4. I get to rekindle my youth playing all my old faviorute games (without having to break the bank paying for each play like I used to in the arcades (many a time was spent playing games at Londonâ??s Trocadero (now Sega world) 5. Total satisfaction that I have (with a lot of help from Tom and the rest of the gang) made myself a worthwhile piece of equipment for my home (and now everyone elseâ??s as my mates all want one!) Keep up the good work Tom and everyone else who has supported him in his quest for arcade perfection! (You know who you are) And all you other guys who havenâ??t donated hurry up and get supporting the team help make Gameex even better!
  9. HI there tom, i have tried using differnt versions of mame (.98,.99, and 100) and it still seems to happen, as you can see from my log it works fine if you leave gameex from launch to go into attract mode, however if you play a game for a bit then exit that game and leave gameex to go into attract mode it just goes to launch it bu then dies and returns to the gameex main start screen anyways here is my log (attached) i am currently using mame version .100 thaanks for your help danny
  10. hi there guys, i am a great fan of gameex and supporter orf the work tom and guys have done. thisis my first post (mainly due to not having any problems!) so please go easy on me! I have Gameex on all of my 3 (soon to be 4) mame cabinets, however i seem to be having just one problem with the attract mode on two of my machines. the attract mode works great if you reboot and then go into gameex without playing any games (or launching mame) but if you play a game then exit it back to the menu and leave the machine to go into attract mode it just flickers to a black screen for a second and goes back to the gameex menu and does this on a continious loop for however long i have set the attract mode for (which is currently every 5 mins) im pretty sure it didnt start off doing this on these machines so it must be something i have done in error (i hope) please can someone help? both are identical amd 4gig 64s with gigabyte 3d1 graphics and motherboard, 1gb ram windows xp newist drivers for everything x_arcade controller with thanks Danny
