  1. Hey all, so i have had a bit iof time away (we took in a lodger so the arcade machine went into storage ) I have a midi sized arcade machine (21" screen), so wanted to make a CP mainly for fighting. I am going for a 7 button design as this just about fits on the panel, but i do wonder, when does the 7th button (thumb) ever get used, should i preserve the space and leave it at 6? Also, i am planning the other buttons layout, such as pause, p1/p2 start, reset etc. Can you think of any buttons which would be worth thinking about? So far i have: Gameex exit game Gameex back Mame pause p1 start p2 start save state load state p1 coin p2 coin I want to make an admin panel behind the coin door so any ideas would be appreciated. Lastly, i updated to the latest version just now, and visualisations play in the bottom left corner with the music, however only the top left quearter has visualisations, the reast is just weird horizontal corruption. I also custom mapped my Xbox360 controller to gameex for a while, however the configuration tool wont see my d-pad presses, only my analogue stick moves, do i need to configutre this manually? Tom, i love Gameex, became fully paid up a long time ago and i am impressed you've never tried to charge for the latest versions so thank you, keep up the great work and merry christmas!
  2. Heh, I will put the full log next time, sorry bout that. If I had, you would have seen that I needed to change the DirectX blitter, as I had switched it somehow! Thanks for your suggestions though, and thanks for an awesome piece of software
  3. Hi guys, I have this strange error when loading a mme rom in GameEX (8.20), which has always worked without incident! DXdiag shows no errors and Mame32 (116) runs with no problems... any suggestions would be appreciated! ps, this only happens when GameEX is in full screen mode... 17:43:01.3 01/07/2007: Initializing MCE Remote 17:43:01.3 01/07/2007: Initialization OK! 6.19 issue

    Hi there tom I have just updated to 6.19 and seem to have a strange problem, my PSX emulator setup will not see any games any more. The config is as follows: [Emulator_7] Enabled=True DumbyValue= STARTPAGENAME=Playstation TITLETEXT=Playstation StartPageLogo= ROMFilter=*.iso;*.bin;*.img RomsInFolders=False RomPath=C:\Emulation\ROMs\ePsXe\GAMES SnapPath= TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= WorkingPath=C:\Emulation\ROMs\ePsXe MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=ePSXe.bat "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" OLDatZip= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic= PCGame= DATABASE= GameEx just says that there are no games found. Everything else works absolutely fine though, thanks for all your hard work!
  5. Thanks very much, that sorted it! Funny thing was, it would stop it after a while!
  6. I tried the latest on my GF3 and to no avai, rolled back to the 66.xx drivers and everything is peachy!
  7. Thanks very much Tom, the installation would otherwise be flawless but it is a nice touch. Only trouble is that it looks out of place when you have any other theme than the MCE style one. I have included the config file for you to have a look at: (tried to upload as txt file but would not allow it. [General] # The Resolution to display GameEx in. 8. Does anyone know how to stop the progress bar from appearing, it is flashing up on the menu screens about 5 times a second. I have gone back to NVidia 66 drivers and had a fiddle with Vsync and no desktop but to no avail. I am using the latest version. Thanks Tom and everyone involved for your hard work!
  9. Mine (4.68) tries to go into attract mode but always fails, although if i try the last game from the menu the game runs fine. This is since a fresh install rather than an upgrade so I guess its an ini issue? Any ideas guys, would love to have this back again?
  10. Please could anybody tell me how to launch two programs using the new launch options? I would like to start motherboard monitor before lcdsmartie. Probably very simple but i have tried using a semicolon to separate the paths and just a space. Thanks in advance!
  11. Tom that is phenominal, I make a feature request at 2am gmt, go to bed, and in the morning you have included it in the newest version!! I will be showing my appreciation in more than words, thank you! Just noticed that when you browse for the path for launch on start, it only records the filename and not the full path, not a big prob but thought you would want to know. Also what is the correct syntax for starting 2 programs? I tried a few things but it only loads the first (i need mbm to start with lcdsmartie) Thanks in advance Chris
  12. Thanks Tom, I can stop trying to figure out the correct shell command in registry, those options will be much more graceful! Final burn just seems to scroll more smoothly and runs some games that dont through mame, not so important though. BTW your link to a guide on shelling gameex works perfectly, (bar the problemyou willbe addressing) Thank you very much, your work is appreciated!
  13. Hi Tom, loving this program so much! I have integrated gameex as a shell, but now lcdsmartie wont load at startup, could you include a load programs option which loads certain programs with gameex? Also to load explorer.exe on exit? That would make my install absolutely seamless. Is it possible to run final burn and appropriate games the same as you have done with Zinc??

    Atari Jaguar

Yes I have Virtual Jaguar working on the following config: [Emulator_8] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Atari Jaguar Games TITLETEXT=Atari Jaguar StartPageLogo= ROMFilter=*.zip RomsInFolders=False RomPath=C:\ROMs\Atari\Jaguar SnapPath= WorkingPath=C:\ROMs\Atari\Jaguar\virtualjaguar-1.0.7 MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=vj.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" OLDatZip= Just dont forget that you need to set vj's config file so that it starts in fullscreen mode (open the config file, you will see what to do) It will not exit correctly though, pressing esc just pauses VJ. Will update if I find a way around. Cheers and have fun.
