  1. Hi Tom Just a note to say that v5.05 appears to fix the attract mode issue for me. I had it running overnight no problem. Regarding the playlist pause, it runs for a few seconds overlapping the game audio. I think it would be preferable if the volume ramped down as soon as 'play this game' was selected. For the record I'm using MAME32FX v0.99 because of the fast load times, I use 'bypass=true' in GameEx and the following MAME options: MameOptions=-skip_gameinfo -effect sharp -triplebuffer -nowindow -joy -nobackdrop -nobezel -artwork_crop I run my cabinet using an ArcadeVGA card. Cheers -Julian
  2. Hi Tom I loaded up v5.04 and the playlist audio fade seems to be working fine. However the return from attract mode is failing most of the time with GameEx quitting to the desktop with no log info after the mame command line. I have reverted to the prime .99 build as you advised but with no improvement. I also reverted back to GameEx v5.03 which suffers less but it's still there. Both versions fail in attract mode when either a key is pressed or the timeout occurs (on average after 1-2 game changes). Let me know if I can help further with the debug. Cheers -Julian
  3. Hi I would be greatly obliged if someone could post a copy of the ZINC controller.znc file that has been recompiled with MAME keys hardcoded. An earlier topic in this board referred to this file but the link doesn't help now. Thanks in advance. Cheers -Julian
  4. Damn that was fast Tom - it's like having my own personal developer. I upgraded to 99u7 to keep in step with you & removed the 'skip disclaimer' and 'skip info' switches from the command line. I read somewhere that these cause problems in the latest MAME versions. I can confirm that the games fire up cleanly (or the 20 or so I've checked so far). I'm just about to download v5.04 and will take it through its paces. Cheers -Julian
  5. Hi Well I rode the v5.00 -> v5.03 wave this morning and came out pretty unscathed with a very solid install on my arcade cabinet (which I have been rebuilding). Just a couple of observations: - escape key not disabled during attract mode causing GameEx to exit (although set in the config). - Jukebox audio is not pausing correctly when playing a game. Volume fades but not to silence. Other than that, a fine release from what I've seen. Thanks Tom! Cheers -Julian
  6. I've just upgraded by install from v2.72 to v4.99 on my arcade cabinet. The existing paths to my graphics ZIP files (e.g. flyers.zip) don't work with "path not found" errors reported in the log. Unzipped they work OK (like for the icons). It still indicates in the help that ZIPs should be supported. Thanks in advance for some guidance. Best regards -Julian
