  1. Went for a clean install in the end which seems to be working so far. Just updating MAME list.......
  2. Hi, Still struggling I'm afraid. I don't use Steam and have now setup my emulators including MAME but still no luck. New log and gameex.ini attached What's confusing me is that everything was working perfectly, we went away on holiday and came back to this. Something happened, perhaps an update, which has caused this problem Cheers Jon GameEx.ini log.txt
  3. Installed 14.43 but still no luck GameEx.ini gameex.txt
  4. Ooops, sorry here it is GameEx.ini
  5. Hi, We've been away for a week and on returning GameEx won't launch and I've no idea why. Log file attached, all help very gratefully received. Thanks gameex.txt
  6. So, bought the receiver but struggled to install it then found this advice on another website: Go do device manager and double click on the device. Go to the driver tab and click update driver. Select "Browse my computer for driver software" then "Let me pick from a list of d.evice drivers on my computer", scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Xbox 360 peripherals" then hit next. Hit next again and say yes to the prompt warning about unverified device. That's it. Sorted
  7. I ended up uninstalling GameEx which I had downloaded but not installed prior to upgrading to Windows 10. Re-downloaded and installed in Win 10 and all is fine. Thanks for the advice
  8. Ooops, sorry, here it is GameEx.ini
  9. Hi, I've recently update the hardware on my system and am in the process of reinstalling GameEx. All was fine until I tried to update the MAME game list and I just kept returning to the main MAME screen. From looking at the log there is possibly a problem with the joysticks: 13:05:09.2 1/16/2016: Unable to create a joystick device Log attached, any help very gratefully received, Jon log.txt
  10. Thanks Forgot to also mention that I upgraded the PSU to Antec HCG620M 620 W 80+ Bronze Power Supply Unit Good advice so far, I'll keep looking. PS Gotta take your hats off to Bespoke Arcades for building a business around this!!
  11. Soooooooo, I bought a second hand Bespoke Arcade cocktail table last year with the following specs: AsRock G31M-S Motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G31M-S/ Intel Celeron E1500@2.2GHz 1 Gb RAM Intel G33/31 Express Chipset Family GMA 3100 Integrated Graphics 384Mb memory When I bought it MAME was running beautifully but the console emulators struggled. I upgraded the GPU to an Nvidia GTS 250 1024Mb GPU, the processor to a Core2Duo E8600 SLB9L 3.33GHz and the RAM to 4Gb. All second hand on EBay for not much money All now working perfectly but as my collection has grown the system is struggling with more modern games. The kids love playing the MAME collection and NES, SNES, Spectrum and N64 games but the system is struggling with PS1, PS2 and Gamecube games. The cabinet is great, joysticks, buttons, sound and cooling all good. I don't think the motherboard can take much more upgrading so my question is this.... I'm looking to buy a new system to put in the cabinet, I'm obviously on a budget and have been looking at second hand gaming PCs on EBay (of which there are plenty), what would you guys recommend with regard to minimal processor, RAM and GPU requirements to get the system up and running to the more demanding PS2 games. I've had alot of great advice from these forums so would appreciate any expert info Thanks Jon
  12. Thanks for the replies. 2 x 360 controllers ordered along with a receiver - will report back.... Jon
  13. Hi all, Have GameEx running beautifully on my cocktail cabinet. Recently upgraded to Windows 10. Had a few issues initially (lots of screen flicker with N64 emulated games with Project 64 which was resolved by switching to 1964) but now all seems stable. I was thinking about buying 2 XBox controllers on EBay as per Stryker's guide, but noticed that the Microsoft driver download only went as far as Windows 7. Just wondering, before I buy the controllers whether anyone has had any issues with the XBox controllers and Windows 10 or whether there are any suggestions as to which controllers work best across the console emulators. Cheers Jon
  14. Sorted (I hope) used this thread and in particular this command line n the Emulator Setup page of Setup Wizard EPSXE.EXE -NOGUI -LOADBIN "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" and changing the Rom Filter to *.bin
  15. Adultery, Using the latest release of Daemon Tools - downloaded this morning. Not sure I am using DT_Loader...yet. I followed the instructions from a previous thread but didn't get very far. In the Setup Wizard on the Download Plugins page DT_Loader isn't appearing Thanks
