  1. i did update the list, that is how i got the other games in my list appearing. I also erased my gamelist.txt and .ini files so it would update from a blank list. also i tried with putting the "want clones?" on "i don't want clones" it was on "no clones unless better" before, and after a list update my 3 games appeared on the list and are working fine. So it seems they are considered clones but the gameexlist doesn't put the original one on the list either.
  2. I'm trying to get a clean list, but since some games get filtered, some useful clones and bootlegs, or english bootlegs of japanese games, i use the "don't filter these roms" in the gameex configuration. There are 20 games in my list, 3 of them are still filtered and i can't find why. Questions : - Do i need to put the file extension in the list (like ssft2.zip) - The games that are still filtered are : wbmlbg.zip; wbml.zip; ssrderuac.zip I've upgraded to the last version of gameex and mame, the same games are still filtered. I've checked them directly on mame and they work fine so i don't understand why they get rejected by the gameex filter. One option i thought of would be to take a whole unfiltered list and put the games i want to block in the "always filter these games", my question about that is what is the field length of that ? Thank you all for your answers, it is very unfortunate because these few games that are filtered are the ones i really want to play (sucks huh ?)
  3. Hi, I'm trying to make different lists of favorite games in gameex, for mame games, something like "favorite party games"; "oldies but goldies" etc... and i can't find a way to do that. Is it possible to make that with game ex and if yes thanks for telling me how to ? Also, in mame games i can't get the high score to be saved, how to do that ? i use mame windows command line version with gameex
  4. I'm using a horizontal monitor, it seems i have the same problem as you but with the horizontal, my vertical are all perfect. What did you do in the arcadvga.txt file to arrange your problem ? this could be the solution !
  5. ok i've checked and there is a .ini file for each rom, it makes approximately 6000 ini files. i've checked inside and it gives the good resolution. But then when i play the game it seems to be in the correct resolution therefore here's what happens : - Vertical games : They are perfectky centered on the screen and have the correct size, resolution close to the original - Horizontal games : They seem to have the correct resolution but they only take 2 third of the screen there's a big black part on top and on the bottom of the image of the game. But all the horizontal games uses the same space on the screen. So i don't understand, a quick solution would be to change the size on the screen for the horizontal games and change them again for the vertical, but i hope there's a solution that would allow me not to touch to the setup display at all. It's like avres get the right resolutions but doesn't put them at the correct screen format. I hope this is understandable, otherwise i can try to make pictures and post them
  6. I followed the tutorial and used avres to make the resolution files, the soft creates a mame.xml and somes "game name".ini files, but the games still don't appear at the correct resolution. Is there a place to specify where mame should go to read the .ini file to find the correct resolution or something like that ? thanks for your help
  7. I've setup gameex in an arcade cabinet (a sega astrocity). I find gameex to be absolutely fantastic, i'm gonna make a donation on the way for it really helped me and solved all my problems in finding the perfect front end. I tried many of them before and none of them has the ease of setup and the global functionality of gameex, let's just say i'm a highly happy user Yet i have a problem in the display using mame with an arcade vga card. My mame configuration uses the following : -nowindow -nohwstretch -video ddraw -stretchres I've tried putting the "use arcade vga" in yes and in no and my problem is still the same, all the vertical games fit perfectly the screen but all the horizontal games don't stretch to full screen, i get an image in 16/9 mode in a 4/3 screen. Any solutions to solve my problem ? that would be great for it's just this slight detail that prevents me of having the perfect arcade cabinet. Thanks a lot to you all
