OMG. it worked. So setting mame as an emulator it actually worked no problems. it sees all the roms and I can launch. For some reason the Mame setup in the wizard that correspond to the “arcade” games type in the frontend, as we saw, does not work. will test more to confirm this is solved. still puzzling why the mame setup is not working.

What if I add Mame under the emulators list.. ? I can add any emulator but give rompaths to mame exe and mame roms folder.. is it a test worth to try?

No.. I do not think so.. this is win 10 64 home. It runs in test mode since it has installed the CRT emudriver 2.0.. but that should not have any limitation to anything . All other emulators runs fine.. snes9x, dolphin, daphne (daphne it is not setup properly but it runs properly , in the sense it has the same behavior when launched stand-alone or through front-end).

I have run as administrator checked. also full control given to all.. see picture. (Sorry crt scans..)

No. This is with new rom folder with 1 .zip rom in it. give me 10 min and I’ll keep the same but replacing the mame exe and run logs again.

So. Not working. I created a rom folder only for 1 rom in .zip. ChangeD path in wizard.. nothing.. it shows like the frontend is looking into a file call “history.dat”( that I cannot locate by the way) and it reply with no games found. at this time I’d keep the actual installation of gameex just for NON mame emulators and games.. can I have 2 or 3 gameex installed at the same time on a pc? i can try with a new installation just for Mame...

From the logs you can see that I gave NO to only existing roms and YES to working rom. What I’ll do next, is to create just a folder with 1 rom in .zip.. update wizard path.. and see if it’ll find it.

One doubt I ask already.. mame roms are in .7z does it have anything to do? thanks

Hello. I tried to change the .exe with original mame64 0.221 and nothing changed, still no games found. I also created another rom folder with just 1 rom in it, gave the new path to gamexwizard but no luck..no games found when updated list.

Sorry, no this is not an option. I need Groovymame with switchres to get the CRT emudrivers work on the arcade cab. do you think it might be related with some administrator right that are link with mame64 exec?
