Thanks Krakerman. Just found that a little while ago! Man, this problem was driving me nuts for more than just Game Ex... Sure would be nice if Microsoft suggested this solution in their own documentation.

This link at the bottom of the page you sent me did the trick: http://www.askvg.com/fix-0x800f0906-and-0x800f081f-error-messages-while-installing-net-framework-3-5-in-windows-8/ It seems a couple of recent windows updates were blocking the .NET 3.5 download. Uninstalling those updates fixed the problem. Thanks a lot!!!

Hello, I am getting an error when trying to install GameEx. .NET Framework 4.5 is already installed on my computer, but I am being prompted to download and install 3.5. However, I keep getting a Windows internet connectivity error when trying to install 3.5. Is there any way to finish installing GameEx with just .NET Framework 4.5 installed? All the suggestions I've attempted to install .NET Framework 3.5 have not worked. Thanks a lot and great work on the FE.
