  1. I think that Tom mentioned in previous posts that this was a problem with a particular version of GameEx. I had the same issue just updated as Tom recommended.
  2. I have to add that for Doom 1 and Doom 2, zdoomgl is very easy to implement. I have a dual analog controller, and used an AutoHotkey script to assign Escape and Enter buttons to the gamepad. I then use the dpad for direction controls in the menu, and the analog sticks for movement (left analog for moving forward/backward/left/right, right analog for looking and turning).
  3. I usually only use advanced config, but if I am not mistaken there is an option to disable the jukebox in the setup wizard.
  4. I'm glad that you posted this. I had been holding off from getting the 360 wireless controller for that specific reason. I have owned both PS2 and XBOX (not 360) > USB adapters, and the Playstation USB adapter will keep the controllers initialized in Windows even when they are not plugged in. I wish that the 360 controllers did the same, but it doesn't surprise me that they won't. Here's a workaround solution for you. This will give a prompt for you to press a controller button before launching GameEx: 1. Remove GameEx from your startup. 2. Download AutoHotKey (do a google search) 3. AutoHotKey will place a blank script in your My Documents folder, named AutoHotKey.ahk, right-click to edit this script Delete the entire contents of the script and replace with the following: MsgBox,0,,Please connect controller and press Button 1 to continue. IfMsgBox,OK Run c:\launch.bat Joy1::Send {Return} Return 4. Download taskkill (again, do a google search). Put taskkill.exe in the root of your c: drive. 6. Put a shortcut to GameEx in the root of your c: drive. Make sure it is named "GameEx" and not "Shortcut to GameEx" 5. Create a file called launch.bat in the root of your c: drive. Edit the batch file and paste the following: taskkill /im AutoHotKey.exe start GameEx.lnk Sorry if it seems like I oversimplified this for you, but I'm not sure what your level of proficiency is. Then again, if I under-simplified then just PM me and I can help you out.
  5. VisualBoy Advance for GB, GBC, and GBA games.
  6. Wow. It's amazing what you can do with enough money, hard work, knowledge, and some good frontend software.
  7. Does anybody know if there is a way to disable music fading out when stopping or pausing? The delay in the music fading out makes me think that my wireless controller didn't register the button press. Forgive me if this question has been covered already. I searched the forums for a while before posting this.
  8. Sorry Tom, I didn't realize that as I don't use the info page. I'm used to the XBOX 360 interface where it asks if you'd like to resume or restart as soon as you load a movie. I'll mess around with it. Thanks!
  9. Shouldn't be a problem. You can adjust this in the advanced options>display and set what resolution you want. Try adjust the resolution in GameEx and all of your emulators and test it out. Some emulators were made years ago with old code that never really took HDTV's into account, so you might get some weird displays (stretching, tearing, etc).
  10. I would love to see a resume feature for the videos.... I'm sure that's in a feature request somewhere. Also, folder navigation for music files would be appreciated. I never really spent much time maintaining my ID3 tags but my folder structure is impeccable.
  11. Hey there, I'll try to be as brief as possible. I recently purchased the ATI Remote Wonder (original, not the plus or RW 2). I installed it with the newest drivers on Windows MCE 2005, and everything seems to be working fine. This remote has 6 programmable keys - A, B, C, D, E, F. I set button C to "BACKSPACE" and button D to "ESCAPE". I have also programmed the # keys to save/load states in each of my emulators. This works, but seems to have problems. For instance, when I am viewing a Divx movie, sometimes I have to press button C several times before it will exit the video. I have not had a single problem with VisualBoy Advance, but ZSNES does not recognize when I press a button for save states or try to exit the emulator. All of these commands work perfectly when I use a regular keyboard. Here are some of the things I have tried: 1. I've used two remote control programming software options - RW KeyMaster/RW KeyFactory and Remote Wonder Keymapper. Both of these produce the same results. 2. I have tried turning keyboard direct input on to see if that would help, but it simply disabled all controls in GameEx 3. I also have a Saitek P2900 Wireless controller with programming software - I completely uninstalled this software but it did not help I have noticed that when I installed the Saitek software, it installed drivers for a virtual keyboard/mouse, but the Remote Wonder did not do this. All of the software that I've found for the RW is simply a small app that runs in the system tray. Any help would be appreciated. If this isn't the remote for me, then maybe I can look at other options.
