  1. Thanks for your help Tthurman. Luckily i got it sorted and have most of my emus working. I forgot to copy 'gameex.ini' -file from my original installation. Thought i did it but apparently not. Too much of staring the screen for one day i guess. Have to reinstall some emus but not too many. I thought i had to start from scratch and set up everything all over again, which would have been a nervewrecking process, but thank god not. I only wiped windows partition. Everything else is on a separate partition, so the directory structure for my emus and roms remained the same. My browsers were unusable because all these nice little ads kept popping up and something was messing with my internet connection. Tried ccleaner, spybot, malwarebytes something, jre, avast...Some of it was removed, but it kept coming back. Tried manually remove startup junk in 'msconfig' and rebooted and there was couple new random programs every time. Normal and safe mode. Sometimes it's easier to just wipe and do a clean install. Hope it will stay clean for some time. I'm not going to use my arcade cabinet for browsing anymore.
  2. I had my windows 7 infected with some sort of nasty virus and decided to install windows 10 at the same time. Did a clean install. I made a copy of my working gameex folder. I tried to copy my old settings and config files over the new install of gameex, but cant seem to get my roms and emus to show. I dont exactly know what files i need to copy so i copied the config folder but that doesnt help...nothing is showing. I also tried launching from the old gameex folder but i just get a black screen. I also used my reg key i got 1,5 years ago. Can somebody please point me into right direction here. Do i need a new reg key or what is the problem?
  3. Yeah, Tempest that's what i thought. I couldn't figure what was causing it to hang up so i reinstalled windows 7. I'm glad i had backed up everything but it's still a nightmare having to set up windows and all the drivers and stuff. Gotta buy a big HD so i can clone my partitions. Just in case. Now everything's working again...almost. Damn windows! If i could do this on different OS i would...Linux, hackintosh or something. During this months time i've had trojans, adware and all sorts of problems with M$ software. Now i remember why i switched to linux 10 years ago. All good now.
  4. Hey forum members! Can anyone please help me. I've been using gameex in my cabinet for about a month now and just got my emus and everything working nicely. Last night when i tried to start gameex i only got a black screen. It just hangs and won't start. Task manager says 'not responding'. I'm also having trouble shutting down after attempting to start gameex. I backed up my gameex folder and tried reinstalling but that didn't help. I'm stuck and don't know what to do next. I've attached the log file and gameex.ini. log.txt GameEx.ini
