  1. So I figured I would finally share my Bar-Cade with the rest of the Community. It has been a software nightmare (as you will see), because I wanted to build a cab and no one seemed to do it like I did. It is a work in progress (debating of what to do with the third monitor, it is just sitting on top of my backglass for now lol). I did this cab in 4 days at 10-12 hours a day. Weill on to the pics..... Post any questions and I will do my best to answer Started with this..... But took up to much room and the kids weren't really "into" it, so I figured I would downsize. I wanted an Arcade, but I also wanted Pinball.... So time to rebuild. I didn't have any tools except a jigsaw, drill, and sander. I also didn't draw anything out, had a picture in my mind and mocked it up as I went. A little patch work, and a backglass Coming together nicely I think. My Son and I laying the paint and clear coat on. Looking glossy . You can see I wanted a Hybrid cab. The Belly of the beast... Need to add some more pics later, but here is a pick with GameEx (all emulators and Mame run on playfield) and with PinballX I also have Kodi (xbmc) installed. Still, hashing some issues out with Marquee Magician, but getting there Thanks for taking the time to check it out I am TRYING to move up the Competition Leader Board, so today I build and installed a spinner. I, however, forgot that I was mediocre at best on Arkanoid lol.
  2. I am so glad I had to change it to the HARDEST setting. I played a better game with it lol. Guess it is more "Arcade" Level and all the muscle memory kicked in. Score 153,070 Initials BBS
  3. Thanks for the quick reply Tempest, I like where you where going with that. I tried without the space ... same error. I then went a step further and copied the 1942.png to F:/ (after changing the path in MM.ini) and ran the test.bat ... same error.
  4. First Submission after setting up the Competition list on my Cab initials: BBS Points: 43,520
  5. Ok, Where to start lol. I have read all the posts I could find on MM issues and still can't figure this out..... I have a 3 screen cab with GameEx. I setup MM and cannot get it to display Dynamic Images. I have no problem with static images though. I have followed tips through this thread, and others for other sources, but still no go. I also created a test.bat to run outside of GameEx but get the same error.... Can't read Header.. File damaged or not found. I can load the test image within Irfanview, but get error when loading through MM. I included all files that i figured might help below. I would be really grateful if anyone can steer me in the right direction. test.txt testkill.txt MM.ini i_view32.ini GameEx.ini
  6. Thanks for the reply, I have been waiting on pins and needles for EVO as well, but after a few months am going to try CPWizard again and see what I can see.
  7. I am now trying to set up new Emulators.... I have started with NES. I have created the profile, labels, and template. I also did all my paths. When I run an NES game though, it brings up a blank template (and the default one rather than the NES one). I figure this is because I would need to create a Label file for EVERY game and name it to match. Is that the case? Is there a way to just have a single template that shows where the A,B,Start, Select.. etc are? I tried to rename my NES label file to default but that didn't help. P.S., I used the N64 files as templates. Is anyone else using the additional emulators? I have combed through the forums and docs, but I find myself reading in circles. Any help or theories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for any help guys.
  8. Thanks Tempest I was wondering about that
  9. Ok, so I figured out that my switch is -emu mame -game [ROM] , but now it hangs when loading game.... I changed d3d to ver 8 and also tried dynamic data on and off in CPW... Here is the CPW log and name.ini if it helps.
  10. Love the app! If it helps anyone.... I had major problems setting up my controls... read a dozen forum posts... finally decided to delete all my cfg files from the CFG directory of MAME and voila! success! Now I have CPW running and it is AMAZING. But I notice that when I exit a game the layout is still displayed on the 2nd screen. It does change when I load a different game but is this normal? I have tried to turn off CPW in gameex and run it in standalone with command line so it will load then exit on a per game basis. I tried using -emu name [GAME], -emu [GAME], and even just [GAME] as switches but just can't figure it out. I am pretty sure that GameEx uses the [GAME] tag to pass the game name to MAME, but maybe I am wrong. Any help or advice would be awesome guys, and I hope I can now help others with the set backs I have already over come. Going on my 6th night trying to perfect my visuals lol. I may be just a little obsessed with it now
