  1. Hey Tim, If your PFX2 is not a Steam app, the I don't think you need the parameters field filled out. If it is a Steam app, then yeah your workingpath should be the Steam folder like outthere said, the Executable should be Steam.exe and you should have a hyphen before the parameter ie: -applaunch 226980. -Mike
  2. Got it. Working good for me now. Need to figure out the grid pattern. I think I have them backwards because I run windows in portrait mode (desktop). Thanks! -Mike
  3. Not sure what the settings should be for using PFX2 through steam. I tried the settings in the ?(help) but it literally just launches the steam front end not PFX2. -Mike [PinballFX2]Enabled=TrueWorkingPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamExecutable=Steam.exeWaitFor=13Process=Pinball FX2.exeParameters=
  4. Is your controller also mapped to keyboard commands? ie: through joy2key or something like that? If that is the case, I recommend removing the joystick input setups from the pinballx settings. -Mike
  5. I run my main screen on my cab in portrait mode in windows. I would like the option to display the normal "additional info" box when using the horizontal setting. I also add my support to the request to be able to edit/remove the default lists (70s, 80s, modern, etc...) on the play menu. Thanks! -Mike
  6. Ah ha! Thanks Z, I'll post in the requests thread. -Mike
  7. Well here is my ini: and here is my log: Based on the behavior, It does seem something more like Zeenon mentioned. I thought I searched pretty well for the right keywords but maybe I missed it. -Mike
  8. I have enabled the three options for "show additional detail" enable = yes show system = yes show ratings = yes When regardless of the "enable Desktop mode" setting. If my "Main Display Rotation" is set to "Horizontal" I only see the company logo in the top right corner of the screen. No box, no other information anywhere. My main display IS running in portrait mode in windows. Hopefully that isn't a problem. I don't rotate my screen, which is why I chose PinballX to begin with. any ideas? Thanks -Mike edit: just for clarification, the logo I see is the table manufacturer logo, not the software logo.
  9. Just wanted to say thanks to whoever uploaded the newest PFX2 Star Wars media to the FTP site! -Mike
  10. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I got a referb'd tv from tigerdirect.com. They usually have good prices for those. It ended up being a Hisense brand, which I have to say I am actually very impressed with. The reviews I found online about that brand were pretty good. If you go widebody, the 46" hisense is quite narrow decased, need less than a 1/4inch routed out of each of the sides of the cabinet. Unfortunately you don't really know how big tv's are until you get them and measure them. -Mike
  11. also not sure if you want your game setting to hideDMD to be false. If you are using the seperate DMD from PFX2 you wouldn't want the pinballX one to be on top of it.
  12. Try setting your Enable file matching to "TRUE". -Mike
  13. Maybe you can hit the FTP site and to get one of the .f4v files and place it in your FX2 folder and see if it will play that file instead. Maybe PinballX is just having a problem with the mp4 videos only and the rest is already configured properly.
  14. I'm running Win 7 64bit and I did not install the 64bit codecs. I just installed the 32bit ones in the link. It's version 4.2.8. Upon launch it ask if I want to go get a newer version. I just said NO. I also didn't change anything in the settings or even check the "suggested settings" box, I just hit exit. Just to verify, you can go to say the C:\pinballX\media\visual pinball\table videos folder and double click one of the .f4v files and play it? Also double check the file names of the videos are the same as the names you are using for the images that do work. -Mike
  15. Make sure you install the shark codecs. I don't think the videos will play without it (at least mine didn't, even though I could watch them in say windows media player) http://www.pinballx.net/codecs.exe -Mike
