Hi I am setting up a pincab and I have downloaded some mame videos from the ftp site (what a great resource that is, this site is so fortunate that so many members have made so many things available. I loved the way mame games look on the pinball setup. and want to include about 50 mame games but I can't seem to get it running on my mame set up. It was able to just be enabled and even populated with a few tables I didn't even have? but thetable videos looked great and spurred me to put some tables I like to play on my Pinballx setup. However I moved the directory to the d: drive and the mame folder on that drive and now it won't see the roms or populate in any way. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong in the settings. Thank-you

Im trying to get some files from the ftp site I go to the site login and when I get to an actual file I get no response from server is anyone able to get files from this server.

how do i download from ftp I don't know how to access the ftp files. How do you download files you want. Thank-you PS

Hi I have bride of pinbot set up and running with a directb2s backglass. Everything works perfectly in Visual Pinball. When I start Pinballx and try to play it from there it crashes. I have many other tables in Pinballx that work fine. Does anyone have any ideas why this table crashes. Thank-you for your help. Designone

Can you make and play playlists for music videos

About twenty years ago I was playing a game called Silver, then Windows XP came out and I installed it. Since Windows XP Silver has never really been able to be played on a computer. I am using Gameex to create a kind of game museum and Silver was a good game that should be represented. I have had luck with this and other games like this in VMware running Windows 98. Is there a way to set Gameex up to play these titles through VMware or something like that. I even have the GOG version of the game and it doesn't play on the newer Windows Operating Systems. I don't know if it would be possible to have a windows emulator open up and start the game by setting it up to do so in Gameex but I would like to know if that or something like that can be done. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated Thank-you

Is there a way to swap the logo you choose when setting up the emulator? I have an Atari video logo I would like to put in place of the .png that I chose when setting up the 2600 emulator. Can that be done? Any help would be appreciated

How do you set up PC Games to be started inside Gameex. I have some older PC Games I'd like to have run this way. I see it referenced but I can't find an explanation of how to do it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

Hi Aldub516 Thank-you for your input. I was hoping there was a setting in VP that could have it exit without going into the editor. I don't really want to change the way Gameex handles every emulator. It seems that this will be the only way to exit in Gameex. I do have a Pinballx set up and I may use that for a Pinball only set up but I was hoping Gameex could do everything smoothly. Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to exit Visual Pinball in Gameex without exiting into the Visual Pinball editor?

Hi Thank-you guys sooo much. it's working fine now. I removed the future pinball in slot 3 and put Dosbox there and tried it . still nothing Then I deleted the set-upe in slot one and re-installed it and then I applied the command "Future Pinball.exe" /open "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" /play /exit as suggested by Ginsonic and it works perfectly now Thank-you for all your help.

Hi Ginsonic, I tried that but it hasn't worked Any idea as to what it could be. It shouldn't be anything with Future Pinball that works out of Gameex without any problem. Hi Tom, and thank-you for your suggestion. I changed that, it was incorrect but it is still doing the same thing. I will post my files again when I get home. I have visual pinball working but something is stopping future pinball from working. Thank-you for the help

Hi I've set up future pinball and it finds the tables and seems fine but when I try to run the game the screen goes blank and it comes back to the do you want to run this game screen. Does any one know why it does this. Any help would be appreciated Thank you GameEx.ini log.txt

I found it. In the log file it uses artworkgameex for the bezel and mame and gameexlite use artworkpreview. I changed that and it works perfectly now. On some machines I need to go into mame video settings and direct that to upright in place or cocktail but its good now. Thank-you for your help, This front end is beginning to work very well. Now I'll attempt to add more emulators.
