  1. Extremely correct Beau. GameEx installs an incorrect default .exe file name (VPinball-XPFix4.exe ). But before I looked at what the problem might have been I read the many Vpinball problem posts here and for some reason most of them suggest changing the working directory to the tables directory. Much thanks for the help!
  2. I've read all the previous posts from people having issues with VPinball and GameEx and I'm pretty sure I have this right. I've tested Vpinball by itself and with VPlauncher and both are still working fine. I select the game, the screen goes blank. A mouse pointer appears that appears to be in a large resolution ?640x480?. GameEx returns. VPauto is running in an endless loop on my taskbar. VPinball is set for fullscreen, 800x600x32. I tried 16 as well. GameEx is set for 800x600. Is it possible the script is being blocked by NOD32 or an XP setting? Vpinball uses tons of scripts and they all seem to be working fine. Any ideas? 3. 2. You can go to sites like Maws and look up if games are playable. http://www.mameworld.net/maws/ Hit Browse at the top of the page. Hit Driver Status on the menu that just opened on the left. Now choose good, imperfect, preliminary. (hint: you want the good ones.) 3. While Mame is playing hit {P} for Pause. Hit {TAB} to bring up the internal menu system. Go to either controls for this game, or controls for all games. Adjust your config. 1. I'm just doing setup for all the emulators now. So far everything is working remarkably well. When I have a problem with one, it usually means I did something wrong in the setup (which can be edited by choosing the setup wizard and selecting Custom). Double check your vba entry to make sure everything seems right to you. If you can't spot the problem, type out your settings here, and I'm sure someone can figure out whats wrong. A quick hint. Make sure your emulators are starting in full screen mode if you are using GameEx in fullscreen mode or else you'll just see a black screen. That sounds like it may be your problem.
  4. Just wanted to say Hi. Just discovered this amazing Entertainment Centre Suite. Seems like it deserves a more elaborate description than frontend. First little annoyance I'm having is Thayer's Quest in Daphne seems to be starting in freeplay mode when launched without switches. When it is launched through DaphneLoader it defaults to coin mode. I fully realize this is a Daphne commandline problem and has nothing to do with GameEx, but I needed something to say other than Hi, this sure is a boffo program! Anybody have the -bank commandline that will fix that? cheers
