  1. Crikey, your more unlucky than me then! Patience on CLI on next release seems the best hope here
  2. Thanks for looking both. I can safely say that I have tried all exe.'s individually and together with Amin privs on and off, as well as XP SP2 compat mode. Had a look through the Autoit forums, not very useful either. I hate abondoning things, but my head is getting rather angled now from wall butting ;-) Roll on the next release of nullDC, hopefully they will remember why we like CLI!
  3. I made myself some bat files to launch games via Kenclops Loader, to verifiy it is not an gameex issue. It is'nt, it is just Vista, god damn it! The same bat files under WinXP enviroment will let me happily boot game after game after game. Obviously Vista does something strange after its first used the loader for the first time, I'm assuming it something to do with the conime.exe in task manager after it is first sucessfully ran. Weird that a restart on loader 1.1 does not cure the problem for atleast one play, like v1.0 which did. Anyway, for now, I'll please myself with the gaming rig having a quick launch of bat file shortcuts for playing DC stuff on that. But the end game really is getting it to work on my Shuttle. Obviously If Installed WinMCE instead on Vista that would cure it! Just have not got the stomach to go through setting it up again! Unless you guys have Vista, I'm assuming this is likea dark alley really!
  4. I was wondering, what are the command line arguments to make your loader boot by itself from a winodws CMD box? I tried loader.exe -(ENTERED FILE LOCATION AND GAME TITLE) i.e loader.exe -c:\roms\rez.cdi That don't work quite right, but if you can put me straight on it, maybe I can make a batch file to test the loader without running under gameex?
  5. Not quite the same as last acutally. Ran one game once, now it always opens the rom open screen in the background. So the previous release acutally worked better for me. I'm so tired now
  6. Sorry to say that I have the same symptons as the last release with this one :-( Are you testing this under WinXP only? Thanks for your efforts to date however!

    NullDC Loader

Your helping me, I would never mind helping in return. Handy that I run 2 PC's and different OS. If you have stuff to test, my pc's are: Shuttle PC: Windows Vista 32bit Pentium 4 2.8 1gb DDR333 120gb Hitachi IDE Geforce FX5700+ Soundblaster Live! A bit old now, but runs Vista a treat for what it is used for, ie Media Centre/Gameex only for the lounge! I don't use it for anything that wont work from the MCE remote. Gaming Rig: Switchable boot from either Windows XP or Vista 32bit AMD Dual Core AM2 X2 4000+ 2gb DDR2 800mhz Dual Channel 500gb SATA Ati X1950 Pro 512mb Audigy 2zs I don't bother with Gameex for this as I don't mind using the mouse and KB!

Your speed at responding to my posts is amazing, Thanks very much! I'm quite resiliant to testing, so if you ever want something testing I'm your man! LOL

    NullDC Loader

This is very strange really. After a reboot, I can boot a game no problem. I can then exit the game (via pressing escape on the KB) then I can boot the same game again. However a third attempt will result in the open rom location being displayed in the back ground from nulldc. If I try and play one game on reboot then exit and try a different game then I am fast forwarded to the nulldc open rom location treat one stage earlier than above. A restart fixes the issue, then repeat the above, LOL So, is the problem with the unmounting of the last iso used? Considering this version does not use a tool like daemon or alchol its hard to see why. Or, is it Microsoft's mixed bag of good and bad that is known as Vista? LOL Eitherway, I think I've narrowed down as far as I can, unless you can suggest some further testing procedures? I can see finishing line, but no matter how fast I run some bVgger keeps moving that finishing line at the same pace. I'm tired!

    NullDC Loader

Hi, I had tried the other version that requires deamon tools, but I'm using Vista and it was being funny with deamon sadly. i've tried yours, but it only works for the first game, after quiting back to gameex and then selecting another game, it stops on a black screen. If ALT-TAB to see what is going on I see the nulldc emu window is open and so is the open file location window. Any idea's why?
  11. Funny that you mention Daemon Tools! LOL, I havea problem whereby aftr each restart, even though its been told not too, it always reenables secure mode, which sadly asks the question about mounting and unmounting behind the gameex activity :-( I can rememdy it by running daemon before gameex and re-unchecking the option, oh, but what a ball ache! If only I had patience for nullDC to have proper command line controls inc image playback!
  12. Thanks! Xpadder does not show in task manager, but untill i swipe the mouse over the "should be non exsistant" systray icon, then it is ok again. Gold star if you figure it out before me!
  13. Right then! Got it working, kind of! From Gameex I can now launch into a game with joypad control, however, when I quit out back to the gameex menu and select another game it will stick on a black screen. I found the reason why, if I minimise gameex and pass my mouse over the xpadder systray icon (which is for some reason still present after exiting a game) it will instantly disappear without need to goto task manager, if I then restore gameex I can continue. Thing is, I really don't want to have to do that each time I swap a game. I assume there is something wrong in the command that is telling xpadder to shut down or its even more gayness from Vista. I have to laugh, everything I put my mind too always comes up with the most bizarre issues! LOL! Any further help would be most gratefully appreciated!
  14. OK, just as soon as I escape work and get home I'll check that out! Already had a laugh setting up Daemon Tools for Vista, bloody Kernel Debugger! Ooooh! Something else to look forward to! LOL What a gent you are! I love my Gameex Shuttle I have in the lounge and adding dreamcast to it will be very nice! If the above suggestions work I will post back later, just 3 hours to hometime!
  15. I have tried this but I am having a problem. Firstly I installed as per your notes, change directories etc. Ran GX and tried a game, that came up with remaining issues with _system.ini which I then resolved. I now do not get an error, but sadly the games do not launch. I have daemon tools installed and xpadder with the appropriate profile made and saved as per you direction. Nulldc does work fine for me usually on this PC. I am using Vista however and I wonder whether you used Vista when you worked on this?
