  1. I have tried your suggestion above and strangely enough it didn't seem to make any difference to how anything displayed on the DMD. Not sure if it is working either. Cheers
  2. Hi Tom I now have pinballx setup to show real color dmd videos and images on the pin2dmd in the front end. The log shows the atlantis table which i have set hide dmd to false in the database file to show the image while playing the table. The first start of the table the image is displayed while playing but when exiting the table the dmd goes blank and stays blank even scrolling to other tables. If i restart the table again the dmd stays blank while playing the table but when exiting the dmd comes back and functions normally. This repeats itself if you keep starting and stopping. I can enter and exit a table without any issues if hide dmd for that table is set to true. In the log file it looks like the not hide dmd line is missing from the first start of the table, also if i switch to use pinmame in frontend it works normally and the not hide dmd is there on the first start.   4. Thats odd that you don't have the dll, i deleted it and then reinstalled pinballx 5.4 and the 64bit dll is coming from the install. Maybe its part of the pin2dmd support as i install with pin2dmd support. Anyway thanks for the info. I have just worked out how to make videos without the color bleed so i will be joining you in using the videos i think. Cheers
  5. All the other image swapping issues are gone, but pinmame in frontend is still not working. i have today also updated to freezys 1.10. While checking for other copies of the dll i came across a dmddevice64.dll in the pinballx folder. If i rename that dll the DMD stays blank in pinballx so pinballx is using that dll. Is that correct? I would have thought it would have used the pinmame folder where the dll is. Cheers
  6. Hi Tom Any progress? Maybe i am the only one using this feature in pinballx, possibly not worth the effort if thats the case. I would probably just run videos like everyone else must be doing but i get a lot of color bleed with most videos that are available.
  7. Download the Dr Who rom from VPU, that one works with sound on 3.4.
  8. Yeah i am yet to test all tables, hopefully won't find too many issues.
  9. Still not working sorry Tom. The real dmd images also have something weird going on, thought i would mention it in case it is related. For a table using a real dmd image in pinballx, if hide dmd for that table is true in the database the dmd image will still show in game sometimes fully or sometimes corrupted, when exiting back to pinballx the images scroll properly. If hide dmd for that table is false the image shows perfectly every time in game but when exiting back to pinballx the image from that table becomes locked to the dmd when you try to scroll to the next table. Sometimes scrolling past tables it will start showing the correct image again other times i have to restart pinballx to get the dmd back. Thanks for persisting Tom.

  11. Unfortunately it is still not working for me. There was a change though, 5.33 would still play a video if it was available even if use pinmame in frontend was enabled. 5.34 is not playing the video now as expected, it's just not showing the DMD. Also forgot to mention i am using freezys 1.9 dll. Cheers log.txt PinballX.ini

  13. Thought i would update the cab, it's been awhile. Updated to VPX 10.7 then pinmame 3.4, The use pinmame in frontend stopped working after the pinmame update. I next updated to pinballx 5.33. The use pinmame in frontend is now not working, I have tried going back to previously working versions with no luck. I know Tom looked at this once before for me , hopefully he can again.   15. I have the same issue, just go back to an earlier version of pinballx for the moment. 3.75 works for me. Tom said he will take a look soon.

  18. Hi I have updated to 4.06 and i am using the use pinmame in frontend setting on a pin2dmd. The static images are showing on the pin2dmd but pinmame is not showing. If i go back to 3.75 it works no problem. I can't find any difference in the settings of both versions can you have a look when you have time please. Cheers log.txt PinballX.ini

    OK from what i can gather the stern tables dip switches only seem to be for setting the country code. What i have done is go into the service menu and find the active switches at rom start, I hope it is useful. I can't find a switch number for the coin door on these two. Monopoly switch 11,12,13,14,30,33,34,35,36 The Sopranos Switch 11,12,13,14 Cheers

    Hi Tom, thanks it fixes it for me too. All the bally williams games are good now. There is a couple of Stern games i have come across which have similar issues. Monopoly, the dmd displays please close the door so balls can return. The Sopranos it displays looking for pinballs please wait, with a countdown timer. Cheers

    Yeah hitting the end button in game will open and close the door but doesn't work from pinballx.

    I am using the use pinmame in frontend setting and while it is working it is not running the rom properly. If i run as an example the Junkyard rom jy_12 from pinmame test it runs properly but if i start pinballx when in attract mode the rom runs it starts flashing the message coin door open interlock disables playfield high power. Is there maybe a bug with the vpinmame launcher.exe in the pinballx directory as the rom runs fine in game and from the vpinmame test. Just as another test, in the vpinmame default game options for the junkyard rom if i un-tick skip pinball start up test, vpinmame test and starting a game from VPX will run the pinball start up test but when pinballx is in attract mode using pinmame in front end it seems to disregard that setting as if the launcher is not looking at the default game options when loading the rom. I have just put a pin2dmd in my cabinet and running the rom from pinballx looks a lot crisper than the videos are, any help would be appreciated. Cheers
