Dude, that game looks like soooo much fun. How is super Mario bros?
  2. Wow, this would be incredible as an add-on or implemented into the GameEx. Really would make for a seamless gaming experience for someone looking to load and save game states.
  3. Good post Anyone played Star Wars: The Old Republic?
  4. Hey KRC, thanks for your helpful reply. It turns out that for the theme that I am using there is no IntroSound.wav file that I can replace. Although for certain themes you definitely can replace that file. So I guess that is the best way to go about it. Thanks again!
  5. Hey everyone, Just curious, how does one go about changing the intro sound that plays when GameEx enters the loading screen? I've seen the option to turn that sound ON or OFF in the Setup Config, but I haven't seen anywhere to load a custom sound or perhaps replace the original Intro Sound audio file. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  6. Awesome game & Awesome run! Nice post
  7. It says in the Question and Answer part of the article that there is some soldering involved to get it to work. So I'm assuming it's internal.
  8. Too bad no one seems to have an NES lying around for you. Soon I'm going to be posting my instructable, pictures and YouTube video of my NES PC I built. It was really fun and not too hard. The journey is half the fun!
  9. Incredible art all over the cabinet. I faced the same challenges with HyperSpin. I then came over to GameEx and have been very happy with the product and support.
  10. Sweet setup man! It seems like it would be hard to walk by that Cab in your house and not stop in for a game or two...haha!
  11. Great job acid brain! Mario and Bowser look fantastic! You should be really proud of yourself.
  12. I made the change that nullPointer suggested in the previous post & presto! It works! I'm glad it was something so simple! Thanks a lot nullPointer!!
  13. Thanks for the quick & great reply nullPointer, I am at school right now, but I will try as soon as I get home and post my results. Thanks again!
  14. Hey guys, hope everyone is having a good start to 2014! Now let's get down to the good stuff... I got my GameEx setup working pretty good but I have a bit of a problem with my N64 emulator. I use a Logitech game controller and when I select to play an N64 rom a DOS window shows up (see attached picture below) asking to "press enter". Once I press enter on my keyboard the emulator and rom load without issue and I can exit the emulator and get back into GameEx without issue. I am using Project64 version 2.0 and the emulators and roms work outside of GameEx without issue. I would love to get the GameEx setup working so that I don't have to use my keyboard at all. That would be real nice and I'm sure the always friendly & helpful team here can help me achieve that. Attached below is a picture of the message I see when I open N64 in GameEx, the emulator config, the GameEx config, the Run Last Game config, and the Log file (N64 - Mario Kart was the last emulator/rom loaded) Guys I spent about 10 minutes trying to paste the files into the post as a "spoiler" as recommended in the "[GUIDE] How to ask for help" but for some reason it just wasn't working, sorry. I really appreciate the help guys. I love GameEx! GameEx.ini Log file.txt Nintendo N64.ini Run Last Game.txt
  15. Hey guys, This is my first post and first question (although I've been on the forums reading for a while), so please be patient thank you, A little background info first I guess, I just finished building my NES PC about a month and a half ago and I attempted installing HyperSpin on it, very very frustrating. I then came across GameEx which was much more user friendly and exactly what I was looking for. Also the community and support is incredible and most issues that I've had I've been able to fix just by reading previous posts/threads. I also donated/paid the $20 or so for the registered version (worth every penny). I have these emulators running on my gameEx setup: -NES (Nestopia) -SNES (zsnes) -N64 (Project 64 2.0) -Gameboy Advance (Visual Boy Advance) -SEGA Master System (mekaw) -Sega Genesis (Fusion) -Playstation 1 (epsxe 1.90) Now my issue is, I want to be able to save/load game states while playing a game on NES or SEGA etc. without having to use my keyboard. I want to be able to use my gamepad (Logitech F710 Gamepad). Currently the SNES is the only one I've been able to do this on due to the hotkey that's built into zsnes. If you go into the zsnes emulator outside of GameEx "Config>Saves>State Shortcuts" you can make it one of your gamepad keys for saving and loading. Is there any function on GameEx that allows you set this up with every emulator? I haven't been able to find this. Sorry if a tutorial or explanation does exsist somewhere, but I haven't found it. Thanks so much guys and I really look forward to becoming a part of the GameEx community!!!
