    Never mind... the problem was that the theme was not 800x600 - maybe worth mentioning that in the documentation in the "screen rotation" section...

    Not sure what else to do - I set the resolution of the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate) to 800x600, set the setup wizard in advanced mode "Display settings - Rotate Display" to 90 Degrees (tried the others as well with same result), set the games to auto-rotate and no bezel. Result is that GameEx starts in the normal (wide, unrotated) mode.. the games can be rotated manually (via the tab-menu), but don't do it automatically either :-( Any help is greatly appreciated!
