I've been using FCEU for 2 or 3 years now. When some of the early versions were too buggy I used jnes as an alternative for the games that wouldn't run. But with the latest version of FCEU everything is rock solid!

If you have the time and money to build a cabinet, it shouldn't be a problem for you to get the best hardware. I think a petition is the wrong way to go about your problem. Upgrade your hardware. Run it on a raid partition. Have you tried a defrag. Maybe your video card is slow as dirt. Correct me if im wrong but doesn't direct draw use the video subsystem? Just a thought but if you download a free program shouldn't you do atleast everything you can to make it work on your end before complaining. Besides, I think the features are what separate it from other things. Anyone can write a simple program to launch thier mame games. But when I can check the weather get a mame screensaver and listen to all of my music from one program I'd pay money for it...

Still about 30 to 45 sec with new file. I didn't try the old one. noticable difference though from old one.

Hi everybody, I'm curious as to what types of controllers people are using. Has anyone made thier own arcade controllers? Sounds like alot of fun to me only because I'm an electronics technician. I've been using an old logitech wingman controller and its on its last leg. Are there any other products someone can recommend to me for using a dual shock/n64/nes controller on pc. Thanks, BB

You have to have an emulator like fceu or rocknesx.

Yeah, I noticed it saves after hanging for about a minute or so but still hangs. I have athlon xp 2500 with 512 ram. I didn't wait more than a minute though! Anywho, I think i have everything setup the way I like it. For now! BB

Oh, got the software up and running. Works great with mamefx32 / fceu / stella / zsnes. One question. I can't get the save configuration button to work in the config program i.e. i've been changing all my settings through .ini file. Any clue as to what causes this. I'm not really one to complain about kicking through an ini but I like the gui for the config

Nevermind, .net framework wasn't installed. I thought i installed it a day or two ago but I system restored a day ago also... I must have restored before the .net install... I hate doing fresh XP installs... so much stuff to get everything working

Hi, New here. Tried to install GAmeEX and get error message on start up... 0xc0000135 aplication failed to initialize. Does anyone know what causes this??? Thanks, BB
