I have tried everything. Mine was working for months too. Maybe it's just temporary? But being able to sign in through the website and not slingfront makes me think maybe not.

I can login through the slingbox website, but not through slingfront. Anyone else having this problem? I have tried each of my computers and the login attempt fails. I am using windows 8.1 and I just saw that they came out with a windows 8.1 app. I'm not sure if this is the reason for me being unable to login, though. Idk what I would do without slingfront! Im sorry I haven't checked this thread in a while. I think I figured out what was going on. After research, I found that a lot of people have had the same problem with Netgear wndr3400v2 routers where they lose connection randomly. I reflashed the most recent firmware and it would work for a while and then start doing it again. So we are going to end up buying a new router. Although, it did seem to happen more often when watching my slingbox, sometimes it would happen when I wasn't. Its kind of ridiculous because the router is less than 6 months old, but they aren't super expensive so Its not too bad. Anyone have suggestions of a decent router/router brand thats not too expensive?? I was thinking a Cisco/Linksys? I don't think ill buy a netgear product again. Thanks for the help!

I edited Slingfront with Visual Studio and when I installed it the Slingfront plugin for XBMC did not install. Is there something I have to do to install it? I don't think I changed any of the code that has to do with XBMC. I appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

I made it a reservation last night so it won't change its address. I called the ISP last night when the internet went down again and they said the modem was fine so its the communication between the router and modem. Its a Netgear router that is less than a year old so I would think that it isn't the problem. Sometimes it seems like it only happens when using sling box so hopefully the reservation/static address will help. Thanks for the input. I will see how it goes.

Has anyone ever had problems with the internet going down (the network that slingbox is on) while watching their slingbox? When it goes down it just says limited connectivity and seems like the modem gets the wrong ip address. I doubt it has something to do with the slingbox, but it seems like it only happens while watching it on a different network. The modem needs to be rebooted and then its fine. I am just not sure what could be the problem. We had the internet company out already once and they said the modem is fine and they replaced a couple of cables that were outside, but we still seem to be having problems. Just wondering if anyone had any of the same problems. Thanks

I am having the same problems when using my windows media mce remote, but not with my Logitech harmony remote. I set up keymaps for my mce remote, but when I would trace the keymaps it would send the default mce remote buttons and the keystrokes I mapped. I am not sure if sending both commands is causing it to not work or not, but I all of my keystrokes aren't registering either with mce remote only (harmony remote works perfectly). Not sure if this helps out or not, but I thought it was interesting.

I am trying to add "Favorites" to the keyboard shortcuts. I went through oviano's customized Slingfront 1.45 and changed everything in keyboard.vb that was noted and I can't find any other files that I would have to add "Favorite" to for it to work. In Slingfront 1.41 I was able to double click on the stream and it would let me use "V" for favorite channels and now I'm used to it. So, whenever I upgrade I can't use my favorite channels and there's extra features I would like to use on the updated Slingfront. I would keep using 1.41 but it also makes some keys to be sent multiple times when I press only once. This only happens when I double click on the stream, but that's the only way I can use favorites. The main keys that are sent more than once are up and down so its kind of frustrating. I had a class in college on visual basic, but I'm not an expert. I would appreciate it if someone can walk me through what else I would have to do to get this to work. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out!

Anyway someone could help me out and make a key mapping for favorite channels? The default key map is "v" for the web player. I would appreciate it. I tried adding to the keyboard.vb. What other files do I have to change?

I figured out the taskbar issue. I did some searching on the internet and people with google chrome had the same issue with the full screen browser. I changed the size setting in the control panel to 150% because I have it connected to my TV and wanted everything to be larger and that's what causes the taskbar to always show up when opening sling front. Below is a link for people using chrome with the same issue. I'm not sure if you can come up with a work around or not. It's the same as when I update. The screen won't go black if I click on the stream more than twice, but the taskbar doesn't go away when I double click like slingfront 1.41.

Its not letting me open it.

It starts up full screen and then when the stream starts it pops up. It's almost like I have to click on it for it to become active.

Nothing like that I don't think. Ill mess around with it some and see if I can figure something out.

I am using Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on all of my PCs, however I have a dell laptop with Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on it and it opens full screen. I have two other desktops with same OS and they do not.

I am having a problem when updating in that I cannot make it full screen. I am using version 1.41 because I can double click on the stream to make it full screen and get rid of the taskbar. When I start slingfront it is full screen but once the stream connects the taskbar is shown. On some other computers I have tried it stays full screen. Ever since the update where there was a fix for when you click the stream it would make the screen black it will not go full screen. I tried hiding the taskbar but it doesn't look right. Maybe if you could tell me where the code is for this setting and I could change it on the updated version? Or if anyone has some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The only way I could get rid of it was to use version 1.41 and double click on the stream. In version 1.45 I cannot get rid of the task bar. I am using Windows 8 Pro whenever I use Sling front. Also, If I'm messing with this in visual basic what files do I need to edit to put a key mapping in for Favorites? Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try to put the page up, page down, and favorites in the code you provided me. On version 1.41 i would double click the stream when it came up it would go into full screen without the task bar at the bottom. I will try it again on the updated version. I am using windows 8 if that makes any difference? I have my harmony setup for mce keyboard on one output and slingbox on another, so that should be no problem. Thanks for the help. I will try to see what comes up in my browser when I click mydvr. So it is possible to make a key mapping for it? I just need to figure out the code when I press it and then move it over? Thanks for the update! This a lot better than the web player! I have a couple questions on the update. Is there anyway to get it full screen without the task bar like version 1.41? Maybe an option to have it always full screen? The fix that got rid of the double commands works but now the old commands that I had my remote setup to do in the web player do not work like they did before. Most of them I do not care about. The two key maps that I use the most are "v" for favorites and page up and page down inside the guide to go up or down a page. Also, is there anyway to setup keyboard mappings for "my dvr" or "swap"? Or maybe just have an option to disable the slingfront key mappings so it just uses the default mappings? Thanks so much! I am having problems loading the xbmc plug in. Is it supposed to have a higher version than 1 inside xbmc? Also, I have a harmony remote and programmed it with G for guide, I for info, ect. and when I have the keyboard shortcuts through the menu the same as my remote it sends "G" twice. Is there anyway I can fix this? I made the mappings through the menu different and it would work sometimes, but other times my remote wouldn't work at all. And does anyone know how to program the myDvr button to create a key mapping? Thanks in advance for the help.
