  1. A couple of days ago I found these great intro videos I'd like to use in GameEx. http://www.cinemarcade.com/movies.html The vids are called "The Games That Time Forgot" and there is a long and a short version. I would like to try both in GameEx and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to convert them from .mov files into .mpg or .avi. Or if anyone out there would be kind enough to convert them for me. There is also a desktop wallpaper to accompany these vids which can be found here if anyone else was interested. It would also make a nice background for GameEx. Thanks
  2. Can anyone please suggest a good emulator/configuration for the following systems? SYSTEM........................EMUs I HAVE TRIED...............PROBLEMS I ENCOUNTER --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fruit Machines..............JPeMu..................................Cannot get to run thru GameEx Fruit Machines..............MFME...................................Cannot get to run thru GameEx GTE Vectrex..................Vectex.................................Blank Screen, does nothing NES..............................RockNESx.............................Runs fine but takes about 15 Esc's to return to GameEx Neo Geo Pocket...........NeoPop-Win32.....................Cannot get to run/Crashes GameEx Neo Geo Pocket...........NeoPocott............................Cannot get to run/Crashes GameEx Neo Geo Pocket...........Koyote 0.5.0........................Cannot get to run/Crashes GameEx PC Engine....................DeepPCE..............................Crashes GameEx PC Engine....................TGEMU v0.21601..................Blank Screen PC Engine....................HU-GO! v2.10.......................Blank Screen w/ Sound PC Engine....................Virtual PC Engine Win 1.5.....Crashes GameEx PC Engine....................MagicEngine v0.99b5............Works but... I know some of these EMUs are fairly old and may not work properly, but it's literally been a case of me trying everything I can. Can anyone suggest anything better, or show me a decent working config for any of these EMUs? I am happy to post for you any of the configs I am using at the moment, but it will have to wait till later when I get home. At this stage, I would greatly appreciate any help/advice you guys could give me.
  3. Any joy yet, as I still need them. Can anybody help me?
  4. Oh would you please, that would be so good of you. Thanks a lot.
  5. Yeah, that worked great. Thanks a lot.
  6. Does anyone know of any good working configs for MFME and JPeMu? I already have BFMulator running through GameEx and it runs great (although it drops you to the desktop to play em). I really like BFMulator, but unfortunately it has the least amount of ROMs to play when compared to MFME and JPeMu. It would be great to play these through GameEx instead of having to quit to windows everytime. Someone out there must know how to get them working. Please help me.
  7. I like 4.03, I find it is generally error free, and I usually have no problems whatsoever. I guess its just me, but when I find something I like I tend to stick with it. I'm running Windows XP Pro, and the safe to shutdown message is kinda purplexing me. I know that it should'nt appear, but for some reason it does. I thought it was because of GameEx, but if you say it isnt, then I got to believe you. You are the GameEx God afterall Also, do you know of anyway to remove the windows login screen. (It's another of those 'I know it shouldnt happen but doe's' thingies). Any help would be most welcome.
  8. Thanks man, I certainly give that a try I shut down my PC using GameEx, it seems to shutdown fine, but shows me the 'It is now safe to shutdown your PC' screen. I then turn of the PC. I dont really like this method of doing it and I am planning on changing it somehow, but for now, while I'm testing it will be fine.
  9. Thats it, you got it. Thanks a lot man. You are a God and I'm gonna start a new religion and name it after you. Thanks alot.
  10. Recently I built my first MAME Cabinet using the most excellent GameEx as its Frontend (From the first moment I set eyes on GameEx I knew it was going to be the one). Anyway, for the last week everything has been running fine while I playtest and add more stuff to the system. Yesterday afternoon it was running fine while i had a quick game of Rainbow Islands and it shutdown fine too. But last night when I turned the system on again GameEx crashed and displayed a log file. It has been doing the same ever since. Here is the bottom portion of that log: 15:09:22.9 24/11/2005: Snap Path is: D:\MAME\snap 15:09:22.9 24/11/2005: AVI Snap Path is: D:\Mame\AVI Snaps 15:09:22.9 24/11/2005: Flyer Path is: D:\MAME\flyers 15:09:22.9 24/11/2005: Cabinet Path is: D:\MAME\cabinets 15:09:23.0 24/11/2005: Title Path is: D:\MAME\Titles 15:09:23.0 24/11/2005: Panel Path is: D:\MAME\cpanel 15:09:23.1 24/11/2005: Icon Path is: D:\MAME\icons 15:09:23.1 24/11/2005: Marquee Path is: D:\MAME\marquees 15:09:23.2 24/11/2005: MAME CMD options: -skip_gameinfo -triplebuffer -nowindow -joy 15:09:23.2 24/11/2005: Attempting to load game list 15:09:24.6 24/11/2005: ERRORS DETECTED: EXITING Is it a problem with GameEx or with MAME or is it something else?
