    Remaing the extention can help. But you should experiment with some different encoders. i don't knowexactly what or how but some encoders encapsulate the correct data in cabinets that are not understood by wmp. try encodng with nero. A free and very good encoder can be found at http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/.
