  1. Ok I went to work this morning and selected the Create Mame Videos link to create my missing files. I come back and my hard drive is full (no room left) I check the files and about 300+ files were created that took up 6GB! Some saved at 1-7mb each and I had more than half saved at more than 10mb to as much as 200mb for one single file. Is this right or is there a "flaw in the slaw"??? I am using version 5.10 Any info would help....thanks.
  2. Forgive my ignorance, but where is it that you can create videos? All I see is create snaps. If someone can point that out, I'd appreciate it...thanks. Mike
  3. ok..I renamed the gamelist.txt file in the Data folder and ran the update list option...restarted gameEx and it is still messing up.... Is there anything else that can cause this problem?
  4. I also have noted that going in an out of the menu and sub-menus that I am losing my animated videos.
  5. I'm having a problem..this the first that I have noticed this problem. Going through my MAME games...If I select one from the List, say..Basketball...then when it goes to the sub-menu (where you view the Cabinet, Flyers, Play the game, etc.), it shows Atari Baseball... I'm finding it's not doing it on every title but does show up often enough to be problematic. Is there a particular file I can wipe out to start my list fresh and see if that will help?
  6. Ok, I just got a fairly complete download of Visual Pinball Tables. Each Pinball Game came in it's own folder..ie Baywatch is in Baywatch, Back to the Future is in Back to the Future and so on. Problems is whenever I set up my emulation settings in the Config and set the ROMS in Folders to Yes (true)...GameEx never Picks up on the .vpt files. Is there anyone who can help me troubleshoot this problem...I really don't want to have to put everything into one folder as I spent most of Sunday sorting and cleaning and updating these individual folders. Tom?? Any Ideas? I've had problems with N64 with individual folders too...dunno what is going on. Other than that issue...GameEx is fantastic...exactly what I was looking for...If I can get this issue resolved, that would be much appreciated!
  7. I figured I'd throw my cabinet into the ring as well.. This is my first cabinet and I think it turned out pretty well. Has all the goodies on it...Trackball, Light gun, Spinner, 4 way, 8 ways, and pinball flipper buttons on the side.... GameEx works very well for my project..I love it! Thanks again for your work!
  8. I just got the videos d/l yesterday...I have a question on how to use them though. InGame and Title are the 2 folders that they are in. If I just point the directory to the root folder for the video Snaps, then Game Ex doesn't pick up on any of them, Only when I point directly to the InGame folder. My question is, if that is the case, then what do or where can I use the Title video at? A lot of the title videos are of the same name as the InGame videos so I can't copy them into the same folder. Anyone have any ideas?
  9. That did it...thanks.
  10. I always keep upgrading to the latest and greatest version and for the last three or more updates, the Transparent theme will not work.... It it just me or anyone else having problems too? All it does is try to load up and then crash and display the error log. 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: GameEx: Version 3.70: Starting Log 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Operating System Platform ID: Win32NT 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Operating System Version: 5.1 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Running Randomize() 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Running Misc startup tasks 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Hiding Cursor 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Setting Menu types 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Opening Configuration File 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Getting Configuration Values 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Using Theme: Default - Transparent 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - Transparent 19:48:42.4 5/8/2005: Applying Language/Text 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Snap Delay set to: 4 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Is Media Center running? 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Check Media Center Exit/Start Mode 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Media Center Mode 0 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Get other settings 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: SlikStik support enabled 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Using DirectInput for keyboard input 19:48:42.5 5/8/2005: Launching HideOS.exe 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Hiding Taskbar 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Start work for Form 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Getting Original Screen Size 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Loading ICON 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Initializing Component 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Using General Font: Trebuchet MS 19:48:43.2 5/8/2005: Using Title Font: Trebuchet MS 19:48:43.3 5/8/2005: Initialising DirectDraw 19:48:43.3 5/8/2005: Applying GameEx is Loading Image 19:48:43.3 5/8/2005: ERROR when loading Image. 11. I'm having some trouble getting my N64 Games to show up. I have a Drive Partition where I keep my N64 Games (N:\Roms), Each game inside that folder has it's own folder and each folder may contain anywhere from 1 to 10 different versions of each game. These are all .z64 extensions but even when I set that up (I have even left it blank), it still will not show any of the games. I have tried setting the "ROMs in folders" both ways and neither will work...I'm kind of stumped at why it's not showing anything....any suggestions????? Thanks
