So, I downloaded the videos with keepvid from youtube. They came down in mp4, downloaded the latest codec and could get them running in windows, but gameex wasn't playing them. I looked it up and didn't see mp4 as a format that could be used with gameex (I was surprised, but maybe I was looking at old documentation). So I converted them to avi, and then gameex could see and run them, but... well, you know the rest of the story. I'll try the codec you mentioned, but honestly, i don't care now because the screensaver playing games looks so darned cool. I've wanted a mame cabinet since I can remember, as least 15 years going back, and a couple of weekends ago someone offered me an empty arcade cabinet, and I had an extra laptop, and now I have a very cool arcade. The gameex front-end is nothing short of amazin. i knew I'd put mame in the arcade, but never even considered all the other emulators I had, and they're all working beautifully. And you're right about it getting better-- The more I learn the more I go in and play with more configurations. Anyway, to the dev, thanks so much; great program and at a really decent price. i might have to donate another $20 to support further development-- it's just that good. Servo
