mine looks as it is every time i start it, i think i am going to deletes all my artwork as all i want is full screen preview video playing behind the selected game, and i think the theme doesn't seem to play well with the carts boxes etc, at least not on my system....thanks for you and everyone elses help

hey i am really sorry about the bug comment, it might not be a bug i noticed that in the theme in change view is disabled so maybe i never could change view it changed on it's own after i added the artwork (boxes, carts, titles etc) this is roughly what it used to look like GameEx 2013-01-24 14-05-54-61.bmphat it used to look like this is what it looks like now GameEx 2013-01-24 14-04-35-26.bmp this is what it looks like after re enabling view change and putting it back to the old view is the box art supposed to be in front of the video? GameEx 2013-01-24 14-04-58-13.bmp and there is all kinds of weirdness with the directories being mixed up, all the correct file are in the correct folder both visually inspected and after looking through the config files GameEx 2013-01-24 14-06-34-04.bmp some emulators show screenshot (large where video should be) and video behind it and others show box art behind video what is the correct layout for the view shows in the first screenshot should it be background in the back with large video in front and box art at top right corner? i love the theme i just want it to work for me

yea this theme has a nasty bug imho, i lost the ability to change view also and i get random crashes now really sucks too cause it was my favorite theme

I navne't noticed any diffwrence, but to e honest i haven't played it a whole lot i've been in gameex sentup mode for the past week and a half :-) but everything seeems to run fgine, no missing music etc.... give it a try its a real fast process, i dont think it effects emulators just burning not having the extra tracks

sorry no, this is for games that have one cue file and multiple bins. basically it's games that are cd audio with multiple tracks..

that seems to have done it, sorry for all the roadblocks im having i've been configuring gameex for like a week now and i just started the video renaming process if i automatically download video snaps through gameex does it rename them to match my games or no? i am currently using fat renamer just wondering if it would save me some time. what "naming" scheme (no intro, good name etc) does emumovies use

ok got vids working but when i play a couple (scrolling through list) they stop working screen goes black except for text and when i quit gameex it hangs having to be killed by task manager i am reposting log file after getting videos working

my tweaks/performance settings don't appear to save, when i tick very high for system configuration it is back on medium whenever i re run the setup wizard. i also just paid for lifetime membership to emumovies and can't get psx vids working, the rest work just not psx and yeas the directory is correct and the names are correct thanks guys

i already went through and made all the emulators "customkeys" manually in the gameex config wizard, good news is it'll be there for the next guy :-) thanx again for everyone's help... @tom great program, been using it for years finally got around to buying it :-), only thing i wish it had was the ability to customize themes from within games ie turning on/off certain features, like say hide screenshots, video preview window size etc....

o.k. figured it out , somehow custom keys was set for exit under advanced emulator options before and now it's not so i can achieve the desired effect by changing that for each emulator i have, is there a way to set escape by custom keys for all emulators at one time without having to change each individual one under advanced emulator options?? thanx again for the support/ideas :-)

could i do that in advanced config every time i assign a key in that think it has no effect and when i reopen advanced config the setting is gone, but maybe im not doingit right thanx again

well, that didn't work still can't use exit keys other than esc :-/ any other ideas i already own pinnacle game profiler but i shouldn't have to use that if it was working without it before.. if i can upload any other files to help you out let me know

thanks for your reply, permissions seem to be fine, what i don't understand is that back/start on the 360 controller used to work and now it doesn't. how can i reinstall gameex but not lose any of my path settings (emulator settings)

i cant get global exit to work either i made a post about it a couple of days ago but no replies my ini's were posted as well but no help so if anyone has any luck getting it to work let me know

in case this has not been posted before i would like to share how to fix the problem of loading games with a cue and multiple bins. it will involve downloading 2 free softwares 1) daemon tools lite 2) imgburn simply mount your original cue with demon tools and use img burn to create new bin/cue and it will merge all the bins into one set step 1) open daemon tools and set up the virtual drive (if needed) and drag your original cue to that virtual drive, that will mount it step 2) open imgburn and click on create image from disk, pick your virtual drive and make sure you have selected bin from the pull down save as and click the disk to file icon (bottom left) step 3) play your newly created bin/cue good luck and have fun PLEASE COMMENT ON IF IT HELPED OR NOT

i have pc hooked up to my plasma so i sit on the couch with a wireless 360 controller and run all my games through gameex well i had it set up to press back/start to quit an emulator, now it doean't work anymore esc still works but back/start doesn't. i have it set to joy6/joy7 in setup wizard and it used yo work and i didn't change anything untill it stopped working and i started mucking around with setting any ideas??? btw custom cfg doesn't save when i reopen it button cfg's are gone)and binding escape to a button on controller via custome cfg doesnt work either i have attached some ini's as i didn't know which one you would need thanks for reading GameEx.ini custominput.ini custominput.default.ini

ok what would be the easiest way to remove sort options and move the game list all the way to the left margin...i dont see a way to do it easily. sorry to bother and thanks for your help
