Hi! I have Game EX in my big Arcade Cab (Nova Big Screen) with a JPAC and original Arcade monitor. with no problem and now I have installed it in my selfmade Bartop. Its a fresh installed Windows XP-SP2 Home on a AMD Sempron 3000+ (1,8GHz) with 512 MB RAM on an ASUS K8V X SE Board. Unfortunately Game EX is flickering and seems to be very slow. The windows and all what is written flickers and the scrolling is slow. it is slower when i chose 1024x768 (I think its on 5 fps or something!!!) and faster when i use 640x480 - but it allways flickers... What can be the error?

aha! thanks i thought the P1_BUTTON1 would be the Port just one question Why dont you name this "SINGLE" column "PORT" or something ? I didnt know what "SINGLE" means

Hi! I try to use the LED Plugin by Headkaze with my PacDrive, but I have some problems after Headkaze told me the basics how to do anything with the plugin i have assigned the keys to the LEDs. But all i get is the first Button lit, all others are dark... all buttons are working when in atrract mode, but not in the game. I even changed the keycodes for Player1 in MAME32 because there where keys like LMENU which arent (exactly) in the plugin (only MENU?)... but with no effect. still there is only Button 1 working. what is my problem? here some pics:

thanks a lot! i allways tried to deactivate the plug in by Tom in the manager (which was not activated!), and did not realize, that in the led plug in are speech options too

what can i do, when my Game EX starts to speak? i activated (tried to) the LED plug in - and since then GE speaks. but i dont want it to do so

Great! Since i am using Game Ex I have to thank you for this plug in, I Think its the first that supports the Pac Drive, right?

hi! and the LCD plugin can handle LEDs? coz an LCD would be nice, but i would prefer LEDs under my buttons

Hi! 1. There is a Front End named Mala that has a LED Atrract Mode. I.e. you can use transparent Buttons and an LED and let them blink in various sequences... and i think its possible in a game to turn the LEDs of only those buttons, which are used in this game. Is this possible in GE? 2. When in Attract Mode (=GE loads different games) is it possible to push a specific button that lets you join this game and not return to the menu, where you would have to search for this game and start it...

now it works i had to choose the right drivers in the systemsettings by myself... windows choose the wrong drivers when i let it (automatical) there have to be two devices - R9200 secondly - Ultimarc ArcadeVGA thank you for your help

no the board has no VGAonBoard... and its an AGP AVGA and i have only one AGP slot

no, i have "Default - ArcadeVGA lowres"

i think its the driver of my videocard... i was in the "gerätemanager" (dont know its name in english ) and there are in the option "Videocard" two devices. the Radeon 9200 (secondary???) and a videocontroller... i have deactivated it because i want the radeon (=AVGA) to be used, but with the same result

hi! i have the latest DirectX installed just a few minutes ago, i dont know which was on the PC before i will try to reinstall GameEX now... BTW: i have installed the delivered driver from ultimarc this is the Errormessage:

Hi! i have installed windows xp home on an athlon 64 3500+. the installation was with my TFT and a normal VGA card (TNT2) because its easier to do so. Game Ex was also installed and was running, i have played Galaga, everything worked fine... Now I have changed the TNT2 to a AVGA and installed the ATI Drivers for this card. the PC is connected to the Cab-Monitor via JPAC. when i try to start Game Ex now i get an Error. Something with DirectX9 and the VideoCard... what can i do? DirectX is installed.

yes, i think you CAN copy the reg to as many PCs as you want and everything will work out... ... AS LONG as you dont go online with those cabs and laptops etc. i did not test this but it is interessting for me: ARE you online with your Cabs? For updating GameEx or Mame or such? @Adultery i only want/need ONE copy of GameEx that is unlocked and thats my Cab... on my working PC an unregistered version is absolute ok - or perhaps i will delete the files completely... remains to be seen

really? that would mean, that i can buy Game Ex ONE time and use it on every Computer i want, even give the reg to a friend, who gives it to his friend and so on...

hi! yes i can of course copy the reg file to the new computer, but the problem is: when i get online with this PC Game Ex will connect to check if the key is allready in use and will stop working. i am not sure if this is right but i fear it is this way... so i have to unregister my working PC and register the Cab PC - but i dont know how???

hi! i have bought a key some months ago and installed GameEx on my working PC. now my Cab will be ready in a few workingdays and so i have to transfer Game Ex to the PC inside the Cab. How can I do this?

Hello! I am building a 2 Player Bartop at themoment and want to use GameEx Its a really nice prog. but i think i have a little bug (i am not sure though) when i have used Game Ex on my working PC after that its difficult to open new windows. they wont come to the foreground but open in the background. so i have to minimize the actual window that is displayed at that moment to see the new window. for example i have opera at the screen and want to see a picture with irfanview, so i click the picture - irfanview opens but opera is still in the foreground. i can even click on the irfanview icon at the taskbar. the icon will be activated but the window is still in the background. i have to minimize Opera to see irfanview. nothing really big but

hi! i am building a cab right now and want to use GameEX as the frontend. but i cant figure out how to tell gameex to start other games than arcade, like console games etc. how can i use snes or genesis emulators with gameex?
