We introduce July's GOTM.........The Punisher !! The Punisher is a 1993 beat 'em up arcade game developed and released by Capcom. It stars the Marvel Comics' anti-hero the Punisher and co-stars S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury as the second player's character as they embark on a mission to kill the crime lord the Kingpin and bring down his organization. The Punisher gained significant popularity in arcades and is widely regarded as one of the best titles in the beat 'em up genre as well as one of the best video game adaptations of comic books. Thanks This is how I was able to boost my score... * Defeat the level's boss by (almost) constantly using "charge" * Learn the level mechanics and don't lose any lives before reaching the boss ! * Just play the game more often I can now beat level 1 without losing a life. Usually I lose my first life at the end of level 2 when I try to defeat the boss. * Defeat level 2 - boss by starting to shoot at his "tail" * ...still learning

I was able to improve my best score of 265K to 704K ! Blazing Star has been released in 1998 and I must say...it's a game with pretty impressive graphics ! Updated OP, DB, RSS, LB

@ Wolf: unfortunately quite a few members have experienced problems signing up for IGBY 2 - which has led to quite some frustration. I'm afraid denying the fact the tournament website is not working too well doesn't help I'm not sure to what extent you're involved at maintaining the tournament website but we would appreciate it if you could pass this information to the website devs. Thanks man !
