I tried disabling event sounds with no luck. It appears any change of the blue welcome screen causes the classic login box to flash for a second. Anyone have any idea what file needs to be edited to make this box go away?

If I use the default blue welcome screen I get no login box showing only when it's disabled or changed. I'm running as administrator with no password it's left blank. Would it be possible to use some sort of batch file to move this off screen or just edit the registry somewhere to just delete this box all together? I'm not to computer savy so I really appreciate your guys help.

Thanks, I tried that but no luck. Found something interesting though. It's not really an instant sheller problem it's when I remove the blue welcome screen in general. I unchecked change the way user logs in under control panel/users to not show welcome screen and booted into windows normally and saw same login box flash. Then I unchecked it and no login box. It's like it needs some sort of image screen instead of just a black screen to hide this box? Any more ideas are appreciated as I feel like I'm getting closer.

Btw I'm not using windows 7 it's xp64. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I read your previous post about xp64 but my friend is using xp64 also and has no sign of the login box and we have the same set up. We are both using hyperspin as our front end. I saw in your post you talked about editing the registry, would that work along with instant sheller? Is there a way to disable message boxes in general? Again thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm running windows xp64 with instant sheller and I keep getting a login box for a split second during boot. It doesn't require me to do anything but is just annoying when trying to completely hide windows. I've been looking online for days and have seen other people with the same problem but no one had a solution. Then I saw the creator of instant sheller was on this website so I figured I'd try here. I'm running as administrator with no password set. When I log into windows without instant sheller I see no sign of login box it just loads right to my desktop, so I have to assume instant sheller is doing something to make the login box show. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated since I see its a known issue for some but no responses on how to fix it or at least that I've found. Thanks
