Display video stretched, Buttons for each game not showing up...

Have a couple issues and I didn't want to clutter the board with different posts.

1st question: the video preview in GameEx is abnormally stretched vertically. How do I get it to display normally?

2nd question: when I first started messing around with GameEx, before a game was started it would display how many buttons the game used and what they did. I don't know what I did but now it's gone and I can't find how to turn the feature on.

Any idea how to turn the option on?

Any help greatly appreciated!

1) This question was brought up a couple days ago and answered in another post. The short answer is that GameEx keeps MAME previews in the same aspect ratio as the game. So, if you have a vertical game (3:4), the preview needs to be in a vertical aspect ratio (3:4) as well. If you have the Emumovies collection, then you need to get the "Vertical" set so that these games show up correctly.

2) Run the Setup Wizard and in the search field enter "panel". Select "Enable/Disable Features (2)" and set "Enable Panel Viewer" to 'Yes'.

This only works in Mame though. With anyother non-4:3 vids/snaps for any other emulator you need to add black borders to them so they are 4:3. Hopefully this will be sorted at some point, but at the moment that is the only option.

Oh no - what have i done..?

I just cant encourage drinking...

My great, great grandad died from excessive drinking... He drowned!
