"in gameex, the first joystick work with the coin button, start, direction, and back".

I'm guessing you mean "in MAME, the first joystick work with the coin button, start, direction, and back".

There is no coin button in GameEx. But if you want to configure your second controller to work with MAME, you do that inside MAME. See this post: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=2094

Good luck.

I've picked up a PSX to PC-USB adaptor and within Mame itself I set the controls in the (general controls) section.

What I really love about mame is that I can define specific controls for specific games, like the tank game vindicators, left analog stick and right analog stick control the tank tracks etc..

Yet to find a (PC-gamepad) controller that comes close to a PSX controller!

thanks for your response, but i have enable joystick in mame configuration and now, iwant to make an cfg file for two joystick like exemple configuration :

<mameconfig version="10">

<system name="default">

<!-- Example Custom Controller Configuration File -->

<input>

<port type="UI_LEFT">

<newseq type="standard">KEYCODE_LEFT OR KEYCODE_4_PAD</newseq>

</port>

<port type="UI_RIGHT">

<newseq type="standard">KEYCODE_RIGHT OR KEYCODE_6_PAD</newseq>

</port>

<port type="START1">

<newseq type="standard">KEYCODE_1 OR KEYCODE_F KEYCODE_X</newseq>

</port>

<port type="COIN1">

<newseq type="standard">KEYCODE_5 OR KEYCODE_F KEYCODE_Z</newseq>

</port>

but i can't make that for two joystick, can you have a cfg file with two joystick ?

Thanks again.

Not quite sure I understand what you mean by this, but if you want to control some things like UI orientation, coin etc within MAME, just select the item in the list that you want "dual" control over, then press your select button to activate button selection. Press your coin button on pad 1. Press your select button again, then press the coin button on pad 2. Do this for all other things you want to control with both pads.

I don't know how to edit the mame config files, sorry, but the above instruction works if I've understood correctly what you wanted to do here.

Would it not be easier just pressing 'TAB' key within MAME to set it up?

You can assign multiple keys to one button there, or one key to multiple buttons... User 1 Controls to set up J1, User 2 is J2, etc... Then at the bottom of that screen it says 'User Interface' and you can set coin, bill, whatever you like that way.

I use 2 PS2 controllers via USB and haven't had a single problem.

The new cab and the IPAC setup was a whole different story however...

Hope that helps! :)
