Well, I won't get into the licensing part cause it's not my call when you need a new license. In order to transfer your GameEx to the new computer with all your settings, you need to do a few things.

1) Copy the C:\Program Files\GameEx directory to the new computer

2) Install GameEx on the new computer in the same location

3) Register your copy of GameEx on the new computer with the registration file Tom gave you or a new one (again, that's up to you)

4) Make sure all other emulators and programs are installed EXACTLY how they were on the first machine. Any changes may require tweaks on the new machine to work again.

5) MOST IMPORTANT: Have fun!

Well I cannot speak for Tom. You got to remember gameex is freeware. Donating toward the project gives you a few extra features. If you have already donated then you get the exra features and should be able to on your pcs. But it doesnt mean give copys to your friends and sell it etc..

I have it installed on 4 pcs. Ive donated twice. Not because of the amount of installs I have but because the project is constantly evolving and I want to show Tom some gratitude and buy him a couple beers for working so hard on this project. The licence keys arent bound to one pc.. I just wouldn't abuse the system.

Ill chime in but Brian summed it up quite accuratly.

The main point is not to abuse it.

As long as we get new people register and it does not get abused, theres no need to change anything or get legal and stuff like that. I really am not greedy.

I mainly just want to keep the good thing we have going - going. Again just dont abuse it and also do the right thing. So as not to force any changes.

Great, thanks guys. Please be assured that I have no intensions of abusing your generosity. The question has been in the back of my mind for some time, and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't violating the license agreement.

Your work and that of all the people here has been extraordinary. I will be sending a few extra dollars your way soon. I figure, I owe you a beer or two.
