Thanks for the tip. It was set to default. Therefore I was maybe confused that this new style was forced upon us. It was more a minor complaint because I don't like sudden changes. I do hope you find what's wrong with the name issue. I have 20 tables with names like Al's Garage or Aladdin's Castle to name a few.

The name issue is fixed. Just uploaded new version. Available now.

Sorry to bother you guys again but I think I found some more small problems. I have created seperate folders for Visual Pinball tables by creating multiple systems. I created folders for every developer with 2 or more tables inside. And a folder for EM, a folder for Original and a folder for P-ROC. Also the default system for Visual Pinball was upgraded to start VPX 10.7.2 and the default system for Future Pinball was upgraded to run the latest FP BAM. Up to 40 custom systems no problem to import tables in the game manager, but the settings allow up to 60. So after 40 I had to manually create xml files for the database. That also seems to work fine but when I started to create images for system logo to identify all those systems and there it goes a bit funky. All the pictures are shown correct when you open the systems list, but it stops displaying those images at system 49 when you open that list. At all the other systems this picture is shown on the top right side below the table manufacturer. Also when disabling one of the systems (or the default systems for FP and VP) it shows the picture of system 50 and/or system 51. This is not a big problem but a weird issue when somebody takes customizing the frontend to the limit.

You really need to post that as an issue in the forum - https://forums.gameex.com/forums/forum/31-general/

Upgraded from 5.85 to 5.94 and not getting backglasses displaying in Pinballx via backglass server option.  Is this a known issue?  Reinstalled 5.85 and problem remains.  Any advice please?

I get that you didn't know but posting on the file rather than posting in the forums properly is annoying and does not get the problem solved for anyone. No problem but please post on the forum so I can get this fixed if needed,

I have a problem in pinballx and with
vpx108 when I exit randomly it hangs
it stays in the editor and does not return to Pinballx,
when I close the pinballx editor it hangs....
I have to close it with the task manager and run it again.
Any ideas????

Gracias

Good Morning chaps,

Long time no see and good to see you guys are still keeping busy with updates / content creation etc...

My cab broke last year and I had to rebuild it, found it fairly easy but I saw Zen created PinballFX3 with some additional tables I was interested in so thought lets try and set this up, i was unable to duplicate pinball fx2 as a custom game and after reading the forum saw the new pinballx has an updated game manager which supports both FX2 and FX3 on the same cab which is exactly what I want

My question is from the latest version of PinballX, can i update it and install straight over the top of my older version and it work without any hiccups or re-config ? or will it cause me any issues as my cab is now up and working as per before and i am very dubious about updating much for fear of breaking it again lol

Thanks in advance

Yes, you can install straight over the top. No changes will be made to media files or config (except maybe adding some new options, depending on how old the version is you're updating from)

Hey there, if your version of PinballX is really old (like, pre-.NET), the installation might see it as a new install (different app GUID) and overwrite some of your stuff. Just to be safe, back up your pinballx.ini and database directory before you install the new version.

Hey,

Just for your info I combined the .net core installer with the microsoft.net (4) installer a little while ago (fairly recently). So it should use the GUID from the original installer these days (I think). People who will have a different guiid will be those who used the separate (at the time and while it was around) .net core install not the original.

Hello, just installed latest version and found 2 bugs:

I had vers 4 that was running just perfect, then I've installed a damned win 10 22h2 update that messed up ver 4 and had to update.

I run Pinballx as admin.

The bugs I've found, at least for me:

there's ALL text that it shows no matter what you set in text section

But the biggest issue is that escape from emulator key it's not working in input/controller section. For example in future pinball it doesn't quit both keyboard and controller.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Also is possible to have the link for version 4 of pinballX that was running fine in my cabinet? Thanks

Is there a change log for the current  version?  I don't seem to be able to find one.
Am hoping to see transparent PNG support for backkglass, DMD and topper so they can double as bezels in other systems.
