  1. 30,300 Tutankham is a challenge even at its default level of difficulty, although at first glance it appears the biggest difference the difficulty setting affects is the number of available flash bombs.
  2. Thanks! Here's a bit of an improvement - 211,600
  3. 181,000
  4. 28,920
  5. 136,650
  6. To get us started... 18,500 Has to be one of the most vindictive and outrageously unfair coin suckers in the history of video arcades... perhaps only second to its predecessor, Ghosts 'n Goblins!
  7. 1,738 Not quite "grandmastery" level for me yet.
  8. 166,725 *NB: For Robotron 2084, my version of MAME (and probably all others) had the default difficulty level set to "3" ("liberal"), not "5"("recommended"), which is the proper setting for this round of the competition. These Williams machines didn't have dip switches, so the only way to change the difficulty is to "advance" through the diagnostic pages (F2 on most versions of MAME) until you reach the settings page where the difficult level can be manually adjusted.
  9. Looking over the list of ongoing competitions, I notice that I already hold some competitive scores for a few of the games. If I still have pics supporting those scores, can I submit them? Or is there a rule that all submissions must be "fresh" and attained after a game was officially nominated for a game-of-the-month competition?
  10. Glad to find this board seeing as AtariAge's MAME competition apparently fell apart a few months back. Seeing as the leaderboard is quite replete with competitions over the past year or two, are there any plans to reset to a new 'season" at any point? Or will points for the overall Hi-Score ladder generally be accumulative and ongoing indefinitely for the foreseeable future? There would seem to be quite a difficultly curve for a new competition entrants to play competitively at this point given the huge selection of open games in the overall competition.
