    Hi, I know once you've got it working the last thing you want to do it break it... but you should try setting up a custom emulator and using MESS to play snes9x games! Like you I used to use snes9x and granted MESS is not yet 100% there for snes although I'm yet to spot any problems.... the reason I did this is because: 1) MESS does a fantastic job of emulating a CRT/TV screen on your LCD screen for snes games which is immeasurably better looking. 2) MESS emulates many systems and the number emulated is growing all the time. So learn how to do it once and then doing it for other systems is simples! I also use it for NES, Genesis and Atari 2600 games. A custom emulator is the same as using one of the preset emulators except you have to fill in all the details... you can even look at the settings in the setup wizard for a preset emulator like the snes9x one you have to work out how to launch MESS for snes.     Thanks for the AHK pointer, it was worth it just to learn about AHK. FYI, the AHK solution is out there to be found for this game, I'll be testing this evening.

    Genius idea.... I used the hotkey feature in the catalyst centre to assign ALT-L to rotate the screen left 90 degrees. I then used the "keys before" feature of GameEx (GameEx is the total swiss-army knife!) to rotate the display before launching the game. Well that was my plan, however testing it outside of GameEx I found even if I rotated the display the game as per our thread here rotated it back!! I was not expecting that?!? I'll have to look into it further.... or, just play it on my dev machine with the monitor on its side :-)

    Many thanks, I'll be checking that out. Also can I add sugar rush to that list.... I'm not a racing fan but it looked like something I'd want to play in the movie!

    It works! Left it running for 40 mins, not a single sound! Below is the log, search for "MAME.150" for all instances of neo geo games where I've used MC2 to specify the mame 0.150 emulator rather than the regular 0.151 On a side note, I'm sure my issues with mame 0.151 running neo geo games is related to the fact I have save states turned on... interesting huh.     I think they *disney*? are not doing themselves any favours, they really out to get the game released properly.... by properly maybe I mean as a standalone PC app... the cab/retro games following is pretty huge, they'd turn a profit I'm sure! I'd love to hear a modern arcade success story

    I still get sound in the screen saver even when GameEx is setup to mute sound. Below is the log from the first neo geo game it tried to launch.... the ssideki2 rom is configured to run mame .150 specifically in MC2 thus it plays sound.     Hi, I have a standard 4:3 horizontal screen and launch some microsoft games as custom emulators in GameEx, thats all fine and works. However, should I have an MS game that insists in running fullscreen vertical mode I need a way of rotating the screen 90 deg counter clockwise else the game plays on it's side. I've tried a couple of utilities that claim to offer command line screen rotation (I intended to use the utility in the "execute before" option in GameEx) however the utils simply don't work (within or outside of GameEx), reporting errors.... they were old progs. Its almost embarrassing asking this, I originally thought this would be simple but its turning out to be deviously complicated. The Gfx card is a Radeon HD 5700 series if that helps. Any ideas?     Hi, The change to the code you made, did you make it to routine that launches the game? so it takes heed of the mute option when its launching a game for the screen saver? or to the code that writes the configs? I ask as I've installed the new beta and at this time the screen saver still plays sound when it launches a game I've configured with MC2.... any other game launched in the screen saver is still muted as expected. If its the case I need to go through all my neo geo games in MC2 and make a config change... any change to get it to re-write the changes then I can try that.... let me know. Thanks for your efforts
