zinc troubles

Hey guys im tring to use the Zinc & Gameex integration but when i try to launch a game it trys to launch but then sends me right back to gameex. im thinking the problem might be my zinc options. maybe it would be better if i set it up as a separate emulator? i have read that zinc is one of the more difficult emulators to work with. so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Your command-line is pretty basic so should be easy to troubleshoot. Best way for you to have done this is by using the runitgame.bat file that GameEx generates whenever something is launched. This can lead to showing you exactly what's going wrong in the console window. Step 4B in Tempest's How to ask for Help give instructions on how to do this.

Since your command-line is so basic though, I would say maybe that the renderer.znc file is not located in the same directory as your zinc.exe?

i dont see a renderer.znc file in the zinc folder? i only have a renderer.cfg file.

Step 4B would have told you what was wrong. You did step 4A. Either way it's obvious what the problem is. You need the renderer.znc file. Please download that and try again please.

thanks for all your help as always. sorry i tend to be a bad listener when i get frustrated. anyway i got the renderer.znc and re tryed step 4B. i added the "pause" in the run last file and the game will boots fine that way. but when i try from gameex i just get stuck on a black screen. if i hit alt+tab i can see the game running in the backround?

ok my bad all i was missing was changing it to full screen in the renderer.cfg its now booting fine from gameex. one more question. any idea if there is a way to config this emulator to use an xbox 360 controller?

Are you using the D3D renderer or the OpenGL renderer? It's suggested to use the D3D renderer. So you got it running, so that's a good sign. So in GameEx it loads but it doesn't give focus to the emulator? Could be the renderer or could be the renderer settings. Please make sure you're running the D3D renderer and if you are then please post your renderer.cfg file.

ok actually the 360 controller seems to work fine with zinc except i cant figure out what button is used to insert coin and start the game. i have to press 1 on the keyboard to insert coins & press 5 to start the game once i do that i can play the game with the x360 controller. it would be nice if i could maybe just edit something in the controller.znc to re map those two keys?
