I've been using GameEx for quite some time now, and love it, of course. :) But recently I've fallen in love with Boxee. I'm running Boxee for Windows on my HTPC in the living room. I also have GameEx installed on this same HTPC - moved it from my old (now gone) arcade PC.

My ideal setup would be to run Boxee as a front-end, and be able to drop to GameEx to run emulated games, and then return to Boxee when done. I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing this, or if it can even be done. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I don't think you can run any other programs though Boxee. On my HTPC setup I had everything launched through Windows Media Center. You could use Media Center Studio to parse the strips down to only launch Boxee and GameEx if you'd like. You wouldn't be using Boxee as your front end, but everything else you want to do is possible.

I use Boxee with GameEx however I run it thru GameEx first. I have Boxee setup thru GameEx under Applications then when I exit Boxee it goes back to GameEx. Sounds like you want it the other way around. Boxee first and run GamEx thru Boxee and then when you exit GameEx it goes back to Boxee. Have you tried Launcher app in Boxee that might do it.
