Is there a way to map multiple keys to the same function in GamEx?

Example:

Player 1, Button 1 = Select

Player 2, Button 1 = Select

Player 1, Joystick Up = Up

Player 2, Joystick Up = Up

I have been playing around trying different things for about an hour now and have searched the forum and the doccumentation but can't find any info on it.

My Setup:

Dedicated Cabinet

Ipac 4

Windows XP

Thanks in advance...

I have done the mapping with the joysticks through MAME and not had a problem. I've also mapped both the first and second player joystick to the same joystick (so you have to switch positions) and not had any problem. Just map the keys through each individual game in MAME.

You have missed my poit I think. I don't care about the mappings in mame. I want the 1st and 2nd player joysticks on my cabinet to control GameEX.

I don't know how to do this is GameEx, but you could try AutoHotkey which can do all sorts of mappings for keyboard/mouse/joystick. It's quite easy to get scripts launching and you can even compile them into an executable. It's saved my butt a few times already.

You could also try JoyToKey.

I really wish the developer could just tell me if it's possible or not. I am using a Ipac so I guess I could just set it to make player 1 & player 2 controlls identical untill it launches mame or another emulator, however it just seems to me that it should be simpler then that.

Thanks,

I really want this function as well. I have also mapped my MAME gui to respond to both controllers. And like in MAME, this should be optional.

No rush, I am a programmer as well and I know how much 'FUN' technical support is. Especially when most people can't be bothered to simply read the doccumentation or search for a answer in the forums.

It's a great piece of software, I just swapped to it from Mamewah, after running mamewah for the past 2 years or so.

Thanks,

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunatly this is not currently possible in GameEx by itself.
