Hiya.

I got this working sorta. What I need to do is get the DMD to come up on Monitor #2 (it does), but the playfield on Monitor #1 is black. If I hit F5 it fixes the issue, but I have the black box in the corner where the DMD used to be. For now I'm using Sendkeys to correct this, but if anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

PS: Future Pinball works just the way it should in MultiMon mode.

You need this DLL file in where your vp EXE is.

Replace the one you have with this, this one is set up for what you need

Then just move the DMD to where you want it, the next time you start the table it will be there.

Ok, looking good so far. I have to do this for each table right? Also is this fix going to work for the 2 monitor setup or does the DMD just kinda sit in the 2nd monitor? It looked cool when it filled up the whole thing.

And finally, if it just moves the DMD to the 2nd monitor by mouse drag instead of filling it, is there a way to add the back glass? That would look nice!

Yes each table that has a DMD you will have to set up, but just once. That dll file is for a 2 or 3 monitor setup. The DMD is not meant to fill a regular size monitor, but to be used with a backglass.

The question now to you is what kind of back glass do you want to use, A static image or active?

Static image is like the picture attached, and where the active backglass uses the tables rom for the lights in image.

The thing with static images is that tables like FirePower or Black Knight don't use DMD. But useing an active BG you can have there score show on these.

Look at the link of on Nightmare on Elm streets active back glass. This particular one is made for a 3 screen setup but there are 2 screen BG's available and that have an area for the DMD.

Any of them. 4:3,wide screen,spanned or full screen. All depends on your cab or setup on which you want.

Well the 2nd display is in the cpanel instead of on top. I use the widescreen tables for VP9.

How do I get the active backglass on the cpanel that patch into the roms? The backglass is already built into the table script or is there a vp plugin for this?

You need to get the UVP server and the other files from VP forums

No, completely different.

For a simpler setup you can use static backglass images with Marquee Magician that uses Irfanview.

This is what I used in the beginning for pinball until I got UVP server running, now I use both in GameEX.

Once setup, you will love it,guaranteed.

You use marquee magician you say? Oh man, you'll be sorry you said that in a minute! I got issues there with Windows games!

I'm gonna go right for UVP on this one. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing right.
