how many games are showing for each? some are clones.you could set them up as seperate emulators.I use the GameEX integrated zinc support, but for m2 I have it set up as a emulator.I do this because all the m2 video snaps in the mame set say that this game doesnt work

zinc has 60 and m2 has 56

Probably more likely a rom issue then. You can't specify these folders unless you set these emus up as regular emus instead of using integrated support.

Actually ZiNc is the only emulator where another rom folder can't be selected unless there's a trick I haven't figured out yet. Model 2 gives you the ability to choose different directories. GameEx points these emulators to the MAME roms folder. Zinc by command-line and Model 2 by editing the EMULATOR.ini file. I've never been able to get GameEx to correctly list all games and that's with all filters off so not sure how it's handled. That's why i choose to set these up as stand-alone emulators. You can always use the mame emu mapping feature to add them to mames list.

My listing is as follows:

ZiNc - 64

Model 2 - 44

Again, that's with all filters off and yet they still don't list complete. So has to do with filters as well as GameEx filtering the rest. I haven't gone through to see what games are filtered out. On a side note, the correct rom amount is being listed for all mame roms.

So where do I find a guide to setup M2 and zinc as separate emulators? I cant get zinc to run inside gameex but I can outside of it I have 71 games for zinc now.

There's go guide here on the forums. There are guides out there but nothing really complete. Well if you can get ZiNc running outside then don't see how it's not working inside. Please give more detail on the issues you're having.
