Pre-loading databases

Small issue that's big enough just to get on my nerves...

I load up GameEx, the intro video plays and I am presented with the main menu.

No matter how long I wait, I click on "Emulated Games" and then browse through the consoles....then all of a sudden it says "loading databases" or whatever.

I understand this is of course important, but is there a way to make it happen in the beginning instead of while I am browsing the games?

TBH,I could have sworn that a recent release of GameEx was only supposed to have 3 databases loaded instead of all,although I could be mistaken....

but yes,it does get on my nerves as well,especially when you have 46 emulators set up and thus 46 databases to load..

It really shouldn't be taking long to do this after the first time. Mine runs through the loading databases screen in a couple seconds, and only does it once per GameEx launch, not once per selection.

No, it doesn't take long, just a minor thing.

My setup is an HTPC, so GameEx is opened and closed a lot.

Ahh I see. Well the reason for this is due to the speed increase on startup. As mesk said, GameEx doesn't load all databases initially anymore. Instead it waits until you select an emulator (other than MAME) and then loads your databases for your other emulators.
